Hi John,
yes, if you defined the “Datenschutz”- page at “Einstellungen” you can add the following line into your comments-section at “Einbindungen”. I used this line: “Ich akzeptiere die %privacy_policy%.”
I just tested this for comments. See it in action at http://www.celtic-rock.de

Hello Daniel,
tested it on my page. But if i set “Ich akzeptiere die %privacy_policy%.” … The settings are not accepted and @ my Formular stands “By using this form you agree with the storage and handling of your data by this website”.
Thanks for helping
John
Hi John,
could you give an example of the page you’re using it? Do you want to use it for comments or contactform 7?
I can see a checkbox on your contactpage (all three sections).

I would use it on my Contact Form 7 page.
Thanks John
Impossible for Contact Form 7. This is due to plugin restrictions. (As stated directly under the field) Can’t do anything about unfortunately as i’m depending on the possibilities of Contact Form 7. Sorry for the inconvenience.
I have the same Problem if I put %privacy_policy% in the checkbox text, in the frontend it shows the default checkbox label “By using this form you agree with the storage and handling of your data by this website” instead of the label from the backend. with Contact Form 7

Hi,
I have the same problem with CF7 but solved it like this:
https://www.vakantiehuis-in-andalusie.be/contact/
Just above the checkbox I placed a normal sentence with link to a page with privacy policy and in my checkbox text I added that when cheking this box I accept the privacy policy… This is as good as placing the link in the text above. Privacy Policy is a normal accessible page included in the sitemap on the bottom.

Roeland

Hi Roeland,
how did you insert the link to a page with privacy policy into the contact 7 form?
I tried it but it does not accept the text link.
Ok, I found it. You simply go into the Contact form edit section to edit it and put <label></label> around the link, then it shows…
