• I am looking to upgrade to php version 5.6 for my web-server which hosts my WordPress Blog, version soon. I just want some things for which I should look to do, or immediately look to do, within my Admin Panel on WordPress, after the web-host performs the php version upgrade to php version 5.6? I just want to make sure my WP site is running ok and isn’t broken or anything after the PHP version is upgraded.

My WP site is pretty basic. It’s WP version 4.9.4 . It’s using the Twenty-Seventeen Theme, and the only Plugins I am using are Akismet, Yoast SEO, Wordfence Security, and “Sassy Social Share” (a little ribbon of “Share” buttons that floats on the pages of the site); and the only thing we do on the website is Publish “Posts”.

5.6 should be no problem. You really should be upgrading to 7.1, as that will make your site faster. WP recommends 7.2 and the themes and plugins you’ have should work with 7.2, too, but in my experience 7.1 works better with more plugins.
