here we go: Tireless experimentation, got me here:
– Elementor *hangs* with the loading Icon in the body of a page/post when those are not named or published
– Elementor loads *very promptly* (seconds) When I click on the elementor loading icon *after naming and publishing the page/post! (could be simply clicking in body of page/post)
Experiment with this and let us know if you can confirm this protocol, or, improve it according to your findings. For my needs, it is offering a work-around that let’s me return to getting work done :-)…………………

By the way: I don’t know how well twentyseventeen works with Elementor, but I switched to Page Builder Framework, a theme just accepted into the WP repository, and especially designed to work with pager-builders like Elementor! There is a free and a premium version, and the theme author, David D. keeps updating this awsome theme!
Hello Peter,
unfortunately your workaround doesn’t works for me.
Sometimes i get the “elementor loading E”, sometimes not.
It depends on where i click “edit with elementor”.
The Result is the same. A white Page without a Pagebuilder.
Edit: I updated to 2.0.3 – problem stays the same.

Thanks, Moire, ……………I am following this on a few threads. Just read this:
“The issue is related to some php error in a child theme. Its hard to debug with so unrelated error… – Not sure how this relates to mine or your case. I am using the Page Builder Framework Theme, and VERY happy with that.
Peter
for now i solved the problem.
i did a rollback to version 1.9.8 via “WP Rollback”
