Same Product Different catagory Different picture

    Example I have Church Signs – Business Signs – street signs

    Each of these categories would have Metal Signs, However I want a different
    picture that relates to each category. When I choose Church signs the Metal catagory would have a mEtal Church sign not a street sign, however whenI choose Street Sign the Metal Sign may be a picture of a stop sign..

    can this be done having different pictures to show for Metal signs for example depending on the subcatagories

    No, that’s not possible to achieve by default I’m afraid. Will require some customization, else set up separate products 🙂

    Category structure is hierarchical, with no duplication among categories.
    If you have a subset of products (such as “Metal Signs”) that fit in all three categories, then they shouldn’t be defined as a subcategory at all – it should be a tag.
    Or you make the subcategory more specific. For example “Metal Church Signs”:

    Church Signs
    -> Metal Church Signs
    -> Other Church Signs

    Business Signs
    -> Metal Business Signs
    -> Other Business Signs

    Street Signs
    -> Metal Street Signs
    -> Other Street Signs

    You can then add images that reflect the specific category / subcategory name.
