Themes won’t hold

After upgrading my site automatically, I cannot get a theme to hold. Instead the site will change to the Default Theme, or worse yet, present nothing but a blank page.

I reinstalled WordPress manually, but still cannot get a theme to hold. I tried different themes and all had the same problem.
