Will a subscriber role be changed to Customer after a subscription purchase?

    Hi there, how does this plugin handle user roles?
    Will a default WP Subscriber role be changed to Customer after a subscription purchase, and back again to subscriber status when the subscription expire?

    Hi Carsten,

    When a subscription product is purchased by an user and the payment received / subscription becomes active, the user role will be kept at “subscriber”.

    Hi Mark, thanks for your answer, I am using restrictions based on user roles, so I had hoped it had changed. Is this option something you will consider adding in the future, since it is a very useful feature restricting content?

    Thank in advance. I have seen this option in a Stripe subscription gateway plugin:

    ‘User Roles – Ad roles to registered users when they purchase this subscription.’

    I would very much like to see this also for QuickPay subscriptions.
