I have a user in my subdomain who was in the process of making a new post when my webhost suddenly underwent a temporarily downtime. After the webhost went back online, my user found out she could not save changes on her post anymore. Clicking the save changes button appears to refresh the page, but does not seem to be displaying any revisions up to that point.

There are a couple of observations I made, which I hope can help anyone help me come up with a solution.

    1. Publishing that very post does nothing on the home page and the feed page; meaning the supposedly new post does not appear on the home page and on the feed page at all. However, it does appear when I click the link provided on the Visual editor when a new post is made. I believe the link said ‘View your New Post’ or something like that.

    2. That new link that was provided does not seem to follow the preset permalink format. While other post permalinks were set to follow the month/name format, this one somehow followed the default format (p=number).

    3. Somehow, that link in number 2 does not work anymore.

I really don’t know what’s happening. The only thing I can be sure of is that all of this mess happened after the temporary down time. What happens an autosave is performed while the site is down?

Any help appreciated. I’m about to go into panic.

    Thanks in advance.

    [Edit]

Even more bad news, the ‘Edit Post’ section in the dashboard does not display all the posts anymore correctly anymore..only Drafts appear in ‘All’ view.
