adding site to subdomain

    would like to know if I download a new wp site to a subdomain do I have to stay with version 2.6 or can I use the new version on a subdomain. Dont want to upgrade at this time on the main site.

    Im pretty sure you can use the new version on a subdomain…
    Just make sure when installing you use a different database, or if using the same db, just use a different table prefix( eg. wpV27) or whatever.

    Will not be an issue. you can run any instance of wordpress on any given subdomains and they will not have any impact on eachother. Like he said, just make sure (if you are using the same db) not to use the same table.
