Sender address for subscription confirmations

    In the “Settings for Subscription Request messages” section of the configuration screen for a mailing group, I have put a custom “sender name” and a “sender email” (discuss@mydomain.com). But the subscription confirmation messages are being sent from “WordPress” (“wordpress@mydomain.com”). It is not clear to me how I can configure the email address from which these emails will be sent. Can you help with this?

    Do you have any SMTP plugin installed? This might be overriding the plugin settings.
