Whilst SNAP does post to twitter, its not sending the featured image and only seems to be posting the google shortner as the url?

I have been trying for weeks to get this to post correctly to twitter, since two updates ago.
Here is what I have :
#%TITLE% – #%CATS%
%HTAGS%
%SURL%
It posts the > #%TITLE%, #%CATS% and %HTAGS% but only shows the google url shortner and not the image?

I know you said ‘Twitter cards have nothing to do with our plugin’.
So I carried out some test with SNAP in getting it to post twittercards with ‘Summary with large image’.
So here are the results…
When I tweet ‘directly’ from a post (not using SNAP), the correct twittercard is shown.
However, when I then use SNAP to do posts to twitter using the following tags :

%TITLE% – %CATS%
HTAGS%
SURL%
————————
It simply posts a image and shortened url?
So it appears that the problem is with SNAP.
Any ideas why this could be please?

Most probably the is issue is %SURL%. Twitter creates “Twitter cards” for your site. When you use %SURL% you give twitter, some other third party site, not yours.
Please try to change %SURL% to %URL% and see if it works.
