• Hello – first off, thanks for your awesome plugin!

I’ve been doing some speed tests to speed up my site and noticed that Top 10 is creating some load time lag. Per GTMetrix data, it looks like Top 10 is adding ~1.55-1.6s to load times (via admin-ajax.php), which is between 33%-47% of the total load time of the page I’m using for testing purposes. So I’d definitely like to bring that down.

I did notice that there’s an option under Settings > Counter Tracker to use query variables to record visits rather than admin-ajax.php. And, since I’m not a techie, I just wanted to check if anything is lost in terms of functionality, history, etc., if I change from admin-ajax.php to query variables. Apologies if that’s a dumb question 🙂

Thanks in advance for your help! And thanks again for your plugin 🙂

There shouldn’t be any lost functionality. It’s there because some have had issues with either option but one works.

One add-on that I’m working on is a faster tracker option – https://github.com/WebberZone/top-10-fast-tracker

However, this is still very much in beta and I’m yet to implement an auto-update feature.
