Hello,
Free and PRO versions work absolutely the same as for the gallery shortcode. Please let me know more details about that move:
(1) Did you do export/import of the plugin’s settings or only of the WordPress content?
(2) Can you see all your images and corresponding categories to them?
(3) What do you mean by “there isn’t any shortcode”? Can you actually see the shortcode in the post editor “Text” tab? I assume that the shortcode is in place, just does not work.
Best,
-Nadia
Thank for you reply, I’ll try to answer your questions:
(1) None of the settings were exported/imported. My client doesn’t know which plugin she used before (this happened a year ago). The original website doesn’t exist any more. The one who made it for her, can’t be reached any more.
(2) Most images are visible, not all, mayby still broken links. No categories.
(3) I meant no shortcode for the galleries, I expected to see something like [gallery columns=”2″ type=”rectangular”… but there is only a list of <a href=”http:… in the posts.
Hello @karin9nona,
Thank you for the clarification! Unfortunately, it does not seem that Enhanced Media Library can be of help in this case in any version. If there is no information which way the galleries were created, and if the shortcodes are not in place now, then Enhanced Media Library cannot repair them. You can give it a try at creating new galleries. But I am sorry to say that it looks like you have to do it manually in the situation.
Or you can try to find out what plugin the client used last year. I mean you can install different media library/gallery plugins and check if they somehow affect the post with links. But it does not seem to be much easier than re-creating the galleries manually from scratch.
Best,
-Nadia
