Description
Zyff is a builder for website widgets: Google reviews, Instagram feeds, FAQs, testimonials, countdown timers, popups, announcement bars, chat buttons and more. This plugin connects your WordPress site to your Zyff account, so you pick your saved widgets from inside WordPress instead of copying and pasting embed code.
What you can do
- Insert a widget with a block. Add the Zyff widget block and choose from a list of your saved widgets.
- Use a shortcode anywhere shortcodes work — the classic editor, page builders, widget areas:
[zyff id="…" type="…"]. Each widget’s shortcode is on the settings page, with a Copy button. - Show a widget on every page. Tick Every page for a popup, an announcement bar, a chat button or a back-to-top button, and it appears across the whole site.
- Edit once, update everywhere. Change a widget on Zyff and every page showing it updates. Nothing to re-paste.
How it works
Widgets are built on zyff.app and hosted by Zyff. The plugin stores only each widget’s id; on the page it prints a small container and loads Zyff’s script for that widget type, and the script draws the widget in your visitor’s browser. Scripts load with defer, only on pages that show a widget, once per widget type.
The editor shows a card for each widget rather than a live preview. Zyff counts a view every time a widget is displayed, so previewing inside the editor would use up views each time a post was opened. WordPress’s own Preview button shows the real thing.
Disconnecting the plugin doesn’t remove widgets from your pages: an embedded widget needs only its id, not the connection.
Zyff accounts and plans
Connecting needs a Zyff account; a free one is enough. Zyff’s plans decide how many widgets you can save, how many views they get each month, and which styling options are available. On plans that include it, Zyff’s service adds a small “by Zyff” link to the widget. The plugin itself prints no credit link, and nothing in the plugin is locked or changes with your plan. See Zyff’s pricing.
External services
This plugin relies on Zyff (https://www.zyff.app), an external service that builds and hosts the widgets. It contacts Zyff only in these situations:
- When an administrator clicks “Connect to Zyff”. The browser is sent to Zyff’s consent page with this site’s address, the address of the plugin’s settings page (to return to) and a one-time security challenge. After you approve, this site’s server sends Zyff the one-time code it was given and receives an access token, which is stored on this site only.
- While the site is connected. When the settings page or the block editor needs your widget list, this site’s server sends the access token to Zyff and receives the names, types and ids of your saved widgets and the email address of the connected Zyff account. The list is cached for five minutes unless you click Refresh.
- When you disconnect or delete the plugin. This site’s server asks Zyff to revoke the access token.
- On pages that show a widget. Your visitors’ browsers load the widget’s script from www.zyff.app and fetch the widget’s content from Zyff, which counts a view toward the widget owner’s monthly allowance. As with any externally hosted resource, those requests carry the visitor’s IP address and browser details. Mention this in your site’s privacy policy.
Nothing is sent to Zyff before Connect to Zyff is clicked, and the plugin adds no analytics or tracking of its own.

FAQ
-
Do I need a Zyff account?
-
Yes, a free one. You can build and preview a widget on zyff.app without an account, but a widget that appears on your site belongs to an account. That is what lets you edit it later and what its views are counted against.
-
Is the widget editor inside WordPress?
-
No. Widgets are built and edited on zyff.app, which opens in a new tab. Save there, and your pages update.
-
Why doesn’t the editor show a live preview?
-
Zyff counts a view each time a widget is displayed. A live preview in the editor would spend views every time someone opened the post, so the editor shows a card instead. Use WordPress’s Preview button to see the widget on the page.
-
What happens if I disconnect?
-
Widgets already on your pages keep showing. You can’t pick new widgets until you connect again. You can also disconnect this site from your account page on zyff.app.
-
Who can use it?
-
Anyone who can edit posts can insert widgets. Only administrators can connect, disconnect or choose every-page widgets.
-
Does the plugin add a “Powered by” link?
-
No. On plans that include it, Zyff’s own service adds a small “by Zyff” link to the widget.
-
A widget shows nothing. Why?
-
Check on zyff.app that the widget is switched on and still exists. A widget whose owner has used up the month’s views shows a short notice until the views reset or the plan changes.
