Installation
- Download the
zelmu-id-verified.ziparchive. - In your WordPress Admin, navigate to Plugins -> Add New Plugin -> Upload Plugin.
- Select
zelmu-id-verified.zipand click Install Now. - Click Activate Plugin.
- Navigate to WooCommerce -> ZELMU Student Discount in your WordPress sidebar.
- Enter your Store Domain or Partner ID (defaults to your store hostname).
- Choose your desired button theme and floating badge position, then click Save WooCommerce Settings.

Yes, WooCommerce is required for automated coupon creation and checkout application. However, you can also place the custom shortcode

How are coupons created and secured?

Upon successful collegiate email verification, the plugin dynamically mints a single-use coupon in WooCommerce (
WC_Coupon) with a 24-hour expiration limit, restricted to a single redemption, and applies it to the active cart. -
Can students hoard multiple discount codes?

No. ZELMU includes a configurable Frequency Limit Guard (default 30 days) that prevents an individual student from generating multiple discount codes within the window.

No. Scripts and styles are packaged locally within the plugin, and DOM operations utilize debounced observers (150ms cooldown) to prevent frame drops or CPU spikes.
