Zainly Writer helps publishers and store owners write excerpts, SEO descriptions, product descriptions and complete blog posts one item at a time or in bulk. The plugin is completely free and uses the AI Client built into WordPress 7.0, so you connect your AI provider once under Settings > Connectors. The plugin never stores an API key.

Features

• Editor panel: open any post or product and use the Zainly Writer panel. It has three tabs: Excerpt (or Description for products), Blog post, and Chat. Pick a length, press one button, review the text, then use it as the excerpt, add it to the post or save it as the SEO description. It works in the block editor and the classic editor, and shows a word and character count with a hint for search-result length.
• Blog Writer (up to 1,500 words): four easy steps – brief, outline, writing, finish. The article is written section by section with live progress. Rename, reorder or remove sections, rewrite any part, then add it to your post or create a draft.
• Posts and WooCommerce products: products get a sales-focused prompt using the price, categories, tags and attributes (the AI is told not to invent anything else). WooCommerce is optional.
• AI chat: ask questions, brainstorm titles or request text, from the plugin screen or from the editor where the AI can see what you are writing.
• Bulk generation: fill in missing descriptions for existing posts and products with live progress.
• Automatic generation on publish or update, in the background so saving is never slowed down.
• SEO plugin sync with Yoast SEO, Rank Math and SEOPress. Descriptions you wrote by hand are not overwritten automatically.
• Activity log of every request.

External Services

This plugin does not contact any AI service by itself and does not store any API key. Every AI request goes through the AI Client that is part of WordPress 7.0 and newer. The site owner chooses and configures the AI provider (for example OpenAI, Anthropic or Google) under Settings > Connectors, and the request is sent to that provider. Nothing is sent until a provider is connected and you use a feature (excerpt, blog writer, bulk generation, automatic generation or chat).

Data sent to the connected provider: the title and the first part of the content (up to about 3,000 characters by default) of the post or product being processed; for products also the price, SKU, categories, tags and attributes; any extra instructions you type; the blog brief you fill in; and the messages you type in the AI chat (plus the current title and content if you leave “Let the AI see this item” ticked). The site name is included in the chat instructions.
