X Pixel

Description

X Pixel installs the X website tag on your WordPress site so you can measure conversions from your X Ads campaigns.

  • Base pixel on every public page once a Pixel ID is saved
  • Connect X Ads to fill in the Pixel ID, Conversion API token, and store event IDs
  • Or paste a Pixel ID from X Ads Manager
  • WooCommerce product view, add to cart, checkout, and purchase events
  • Easy Digital Downloads download view, add to cart, checkout, and purchase events
  • WP eCommerce product view, add to cart, checkout, and purchase events
  • Conversion API events use the same conversion ID as the browser event so X can deduplicate them

Nothing is loaded on your site and no data is sent to X until you connect X Ads or save a Pixel ID on the settings page.

External services

This plugin connects to services operated by X Corp. It does not contact any other third party.

X website tag (static.ads-twitter.com)
Once a Pixel ID is saved, every public page loads the X website tag script from https://static.ads-twitter.com/uwt.js in the visitor’s browser. The script reports page views and the store events listed below to X, together with the visitor’s IP address, user agent, the page URL, and the X click identifier (twclid) if the visitor arrived from an X ad. X may set first-party cookies such as _twclid on your domain.

X Conversion API (ads-api.x.com)
If a Conversion API token is saved, your server also sends store events to https://ads-api.x.com. Each event can include the order value and currency, the number of items, the product IDs, names, and prices, the page URL, the visitor’s IP address and user agent, the X click identifier, and a SHA-256 hash of the customer’s email address, phone number, first name, and last name. Raw email addresses, phone numbers, and names are never sent.

X Ads connect (ads.x.com and api.x.com)
When you click Connect X Ads, your browser is sent to https://ads.x.com and https://api.x.com to authorize the connection. X returns the Pixel ID, Conversion API token, and event IDs to this site. No visitor data is involved in this step.
