Download the WP User Control archive, then extract the wp-user-control directory to your WordPress plugins directory (generally ../wordpress/wp-content/plugins/). Then go to the Plugins page of your WordPress admin console and activate. Once activated, add the WP User Control widget to your sidebar, and configure as desired.
NOTE: The custom login URL setting will affect logins sitewide. Make ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN you are entering a valid URL before saving, or it could cause you problems getting into your site.
- Does WP User Control store any login credentials?
- Does the custom login URL setting affect all site logins?
Yes, using this setting will affect all logins for the site. Make ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN you are entering a valid URL before saving, or it could cause you problems getting into your site.
- Does the custom sender name and email address affect all administrative emails from my site?
Yes, this setting will take effect for all administrative emails sent from your site. Leave these fields blank to use the default WordPress settings.
Maybe it was a good plugin (5000+ active downloads) but as we are using wp 4.3.1 (as long you update wp to latest stable) it is not even able to be activated.
Imho it is slowly on time for wp repository to make a complete separate link for ALL abandoned/not supported/updated plugins(which lack support/updates for at least the 3 last wp versions or older and/or not anymore updated for the last 12 mnth), because again imho, these are not only polluting the plugin area but also in some cases a possible risk and very annoying. (In worse cases they are a risk for users which are not aware of possible bad behaviors of some plugins because the lack of adequate support/updates)
FYI: This plugin triggered a fatal error, which at least takes care not to be used anymore for those who take care for updating wp to latest standards.
Good plugin. Thanks
