Installation

Following the steps below, you can get the post views count form up and running in seconds.

  1. Upload ‘wp-simple-post-view’ to the ‘/wp-content/plugins/’ directory
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress

I looked for an extension to count views of posts, as I had this information in Blogger. I found several solutions and started by this one to test : it seems perfect ! It works as described without any configuration (as it is very simple). I was not sure if the counting would be displayed to the general public, but no. I particularly appreciate two things : being able to adjust the numbers manually (in my case to transfer the stat from my previous blog) and 2) being able to sort the posts by their count view in the dashboard.
