This plugin hasn’t been tested with the latest 3 major releases of WordPress. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.

WordPress Custom Global Variable


  1. Using “WordPress Custom Global Variable” you can create your own short codes to add reusable code snippets, PHP or HTML that may include contact forms, iframes, opt-in boxes, Adsense code, etc.
  2. Into your website pages and blog posts as well as widgets and directly into the PHP content also.

  1. Copy the entire /global-variable/ directory into your /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
  2. Activate the plugin.
  3. New Tab called Custom Variable will be generated.
  4. You can add new variable.
  5. Use short code at any pages/posts e.g.[global_variable variable_name=’TEST1′] or in Code



Is this plugin prepared for multisites? Yes.

Unfortunately not sure this is still supported as the incompatibility with PHP`5.6 has been unresolved for over a month with no response

I tried to use the plugin but as soon as I try to install it crashes the site with a MySQl connection error. I had to restore the site from the latest backup. Would not recommend trying this plugin on a live site... and be prepared for a restore.
