Description

Registration Form & Account Approval for WooCommerce gives your store a dedicated registration form with your own custom fields and an approval queue for every new account. New customers can’t log in until you approve them, and approval gives them the role you choose, such as Wholesale Customer.

A standard WooCommerce store lets anyone create an account and start buying straight away. That is fine for retail, but it is a problem for wholesale and B2B suppliers. Trade prices end up visible to anyone who registers, competitors can sign up and browse your catalogue, and you have no company name, VAT number or trade licence on file until after the first order. Store owners end up checking applicants by email and changing user roles by hand.

This plugin moves all of that into WooCommerce. Applicants fill in a registration form with the business details you ask for and upload documents if you need them. You review each application in one list, approve or reject it with one click, and the customer is emailed the result automatically.

Registration form with custom fields

• Field builder with five field types: text, textarea, select (dropdown), checkbox and file upload.
• Ask for what you need — company name, VAT or tax number, phone, business type, trade licence or resale certificate.
• Required or optional — mark any field as required.
• Registration page created for you on activation with the [wmreg_registration] shortcode. Move the shortcode to any page you like.
• Sensible defaults — company name, VAT / tax number and phone fields are added on first activation so you can start straight away.

Manual account approval

• Approval queue under WooCommerce → B2B Registration, with a badge showing how many accounts are waiting.
• Approve or reject in one click — every application shows the customer’s details, custom field answers and links to uploaded files.
• Pending and rejected accounts cannot log in, on wp-login.php and on the WooCommerce My Account page alike, with a clear “awaiting approval” message.
• Approval assigns a role — Customer, Wholesale Customer or any other customer-level role you choose.
• Automatic emails — the customer is emailed when they are approved or rejected, and you get an email alert for every new registration.
• Approval can be switched off — new registrations then get the chosen role immediately, while still using your custom fields.

Built for wholesale and B2B

• Adds a ready-made Wholesale Customer role on activation, so you can target approved trade buyers with role-based pricing, catalog rules and quote buttons.
• Custom field answers and uploaded files appear in the approval queue and on the user’s profile screen.
• Safe roles only — only customer-level roles (no capabilities beyond reading) can be assigned on approval, and the role is checked again every time an account is created or approved. A registrant can never become an administrator or shop manager.

How it works

1. Install and activate the plugin. A “B2B Registration” page with the registration form is created automatically.
2. Go to WooCommerce → B2B Registration → Registration Fields and add the fields you want applicants to fill in.
3. Under Settings, keep manual approval on, choose the role approved customers get, and set the email address for new-registration alerts.
4. When someone registers, review them under Pending Approvals and click Approve or Reject. The customer is emailed automatically.
