External Services
This plugin relies on external services to fetch business information, reviews, business photos, and AI summaries:
* Purpose: Acts as a secure server-side API proxy to connect with Google Places API and AI summary generation without exposing API credentials.
* What Data is Sent: Business search queries, Place IDs, location coordinates (latitude/longitude), photo references, and stored review text snippets (for AI summary generation).
* When Data is Sent: Sent via server-to-server HTTP POST requests when an administrator searches for a business, creates or manually refreshes a widget, or during scheduled background WP-Cron refreshes every 10 to 20 days.

Is my API key secure?

Yes. API credentials are handled by the While Digital API Proxy and are never sent to the browser or exposed in page source.

How many reviews can I show?

Google Places API returns up to 5 reviews per request. We fetch from two sort orders
to get up to 10 unique reviews. Over time, as reviews refresh, more accumulate in your database. -
How often are reviews updated?

Reviews are automatically refreshed every 10 days via WordPress Cron.
