Q. Why doesn’t it shows up in frontend

A. Currently all the project management options resides in the admin panel. No functionality shows up in frontend right now.

A. Only Editors and Admin’s can create projects and edit them.

A. Admins and every co-workers from a project can create these.

Q. Can every member see every project?

A. Only admins (editor/administrator) can see all of them. Other user roles can only see their assigned projects.

Using this plugin for personal use. The Milestone feature is helping me a lot. It takes some time to get used to all the features though the support team responded timely and even assisted me to customize it my way. I'd say this is a decent solution in this category.

Why I recommend WP Project Manager : 1- The support is incredibly good. They always try (and manage) to fix issues, very quickly, even when sometimes it's not part of their job (when the "glitches" come more from themes or third-party plugins than from their own stuff). They will really go to great lengths to do that. They even searched in all my (numerous) active plugins to finally discover an old one which was the cause of a bug. Their is no limit: they responded to each of the requests that we submitted, and solved them within a few days. As of today, I've been using WP Poject Manager (pro and free versions) for more than one year, and everytime I had a problem or a need of adaptation, the support engineer(s) fixed it, and quickly. 2- They seriously take the feedback into account in order to improve their plugins. I submitted various improvement suggestions, and most of them were taken into account and implemented (others are on track and I'm sure they will do it). 3- After having tried a LOT of of other project management systems (maybe all the WordPress plugins available, and certainly all the big names in the field, like Asana, Trello, Freedcamp, Bitrix24, Todoist, Slack, and others), we found that WP Project Manager - although not being perfect - is by far the best for our needs, for plenty of reasons, including the following. There is a 'genius' integration with BuddyPress groups, which offers a very interesting approach to project management, because you can display, on front-end, many informations and especially images (in comparison, the 'big' platforms mentioned above look like "grids of texts"). For example, when your projects are in BP groups, you can use profile and cover images for these working groups, which is very useful to identify and browse easily your different projects, while all the other systems are just text. And you can set a group as "public" but with an access control to become a member (with a 3rd party plugin called altctrl-public-group by @imath), which makes that the non-member users can discover many things about your working group ("around" your projects) which is very motivating to have them join the group and then see the content of the projects. Otherwise (with all the other systems that I tried), people have no clue about the projects, there are no informations, no images, they have to guess or to trust in order to be willing to enter a give project or working group, which really not efficient when you work with volunteers. And also, given that you can organize your groups as you like, it's very interesting when you have a complex structure with many organizations, sections and so on. Most of the other systems are looking "flat", are very limited: you have teams (or working groups) and, inside, projects (and tasks), period. You cannot re-arrange them as you like, with more complex tree structures. Other good things are that you can create as many groups and projects with as many members as you want, and that you are proprietary of all your data, which are on your server, without anything to pay for that (this is also the case for all the other WP plugins, but they are very limited). It's always better when an organization has their own project management system, without the need of other sites or providers, and will all remaining under one unique domain name (yours). And the users are very reluctant when they have to use different accounts in different sites (like Asana etc.), for the same project. Another good thing is that in the paid versions it is possible to use it from front end, which is definitely indispensable when you work with volunteers or other persons (like families) who would be more than reluctant to use WordPress back end (looking too much "technical"). (You can see the illustration of how we use WP Project Manager and the BuddyPress groups, on our site Autistance.org - you can even test a "demo" project in the "General" group, where you will be by default if you join the site - which is entirely free). Therefore, we wish the best future for this plugin (and this company), hoping that they will continue to always improve their products (for example, about the notifications system, the export feature, and a possibility to receive tasks by email - which will make it, by far, the best project management system ever, making the other ones looking rather miserable, especially the 'big names' which cannot be so versatile and which are very expensive). Thank you very much for you plugin, which helps us to organize and solve many things, which is so necessary for our cause. We are very glad to have found this plugin, after trying so many other plugins and project management sites.

This plugin developer uses an elaborate and cleverly designed honeypot-style discount trap in order to successfully evade paying refunds. Please read at the bottom of this review, the details of how this trap is designed and how it works. First things first though. Basically, this plugin is full of bugs and the support team will do a substandard job in addressing the bugs. In my case, after buying and trying out the Pro version, I wrote to the support team asking for assistance with 4 issues that I will list below, they only addressed 2 of the issues, (and in a substandard way at that). They left the other 2 untouched up to today. I attach below, a copy of my message to them: The 5 Issues I request support for with WP Project Manager 1. When I'm logged in as an employee, the word "Menu" is overlapping the "Overview" tab. (See Attachment) 2. Immediately prior to installing your Projects plugin, I uninstalled another Project Manager plugin and tried to clean the database to get rid of the Capabilities that their plugin left behind. May you kindly confirm for me if the ones in the list below are from your plugin, please, so that I may delete the unwanted ones to minimize confusion for myself in the future. 3. When logged into WP Project Manager as an administrator user with full edit privileges for projects and tasks, I am not able to type into the fields of the form that comes up. (See Attachment) 4. The form that comes up when I try to create a new project via (+ New Project) button in the Projects tab has a Z-Index value that is lower than that of the header. It is as a result getting hidden under the header. (See Attachment) Out of the 5 following 1.5 issues were addressed: 1. When I'm logged in as an employee, the word "Menu" is overlapping the "Overview" tab. (Fully solved) 3. When logged into WP Project Manager as an administrator user with full edit privileges for projects and tasks, I am not able to type into the fields of the form that comes up. (2 out of the 4 buggy fields were fixed, and another 2 were left still uneditable. I, therefore, count this as half-fixed) 4. The form that comes up when I try to create a new project via (+ New Project) button in the Projects tab has a Z-Index value that is lower than that of the header. It is as a result getting hidden under the header. (The solution worked for one day and was nullified when a new version of the software came out and I installed it). I then uninstalled their plugin on the 14th day and asked for a refund. In their first reply THEY DECLINED TO REFUND ME under the argument that 14 days had passed and so, I was no longer eligible for one. I challenged this as I'd made the refund request on the 14th day, to which they responded by stating that I'd bought the software with a discount and so, was not eligible for a refund. NOW, the problem with this reason for refusal is that, when I bought this software, it was not on offer and the discount was applied to my basket as a normal routine, which I did not elicit. They have NOT REFUNDED ME up to this day!! (Honeypot) Discount Trap This company puts on their price listing, an amount that is way higher than what they actually charge and/or want for their software. Then, they put a permanent fake discount on the purchase in order to create a "refund trap" such as was in my case. How It Works: Let's say they actually want $x for the plugin, they will put the price of $x + 50 on the listing. This way, when a customer buys the product when it is not on "Promotion", they will avail an automatic discount of $50, which leaves them still earning the $x that they wanted for the plugin in the first place. Now the trap pays for them when a customer wants a refund for the RUBBISH plugin. They will then DECLINE on the basis of the fake discount and get away with it. This is a clever con!! Basically, this plugin comes with ZERO CHANCES OF A REFUND. Buy it at your own risk. I for one, have uninstalled it, and will never consider using it ever again!!

The plugin is not responsive, and this is very important problem, with this fact that many of users, nowadays, use smartphones. another issue is: not supporting RTL and we have many problems to work with the plugin. We tested many plugins for managing our projects, And didn't found appropriate powerful tool, But this one works for our needs and besides the simplicity, it has many attractive features. But Some lacks (such as supporting sms, client role dashboard,...) and small issues, ruined our happiness of discovering this plugin. Please fix these issues so we can buy and use the tool.

It's very slow. My site has gone down on several occasions and needed them to login and fix things. This is usually at least a 24 hour process - more often 72 hours. Making it rather difficult to use as apart of your crucial functions. Several of there updates have broken the site. I thought it was a cheap alternative but am quickly finding out it's actually pretty expensive when considering the lost time. Plus things like the invoicing process could be so much better. You give the ability to accumulate time but no ability to actually bill the time. The reports don't have totals so you have to add up the hours and manually put them on the invoice and manually keep track of what hours have been billed and what hasn't. Just seemingly common sense items that it can't do. I don't think we are keeping it.
