FAQ

Are any modules enabled automatically?

No. All 36 modules default to disabled. Enabling a card does not run a bulk course conversion. Bulk Course Access requires a separate preview and explicit confirmation.

What are the requirements?

WordPress 6.7 or newer and PHP 7.4 or newer. Course integrations have been verified with LearnDash 5.1.9 and 5.1.10; compatibility with older LearnDash releases has not been verified. Missing required APIs make the affected module unavailable. PHP 7.4 compatibility has been reviewed statically; local runtime verification uses PHP 8.1 and 8.2. LearnDash 5.1.9 has known upstream diagnostics on PHP 8.4–8.5, so use a PHP version supported by your LearnDash installation.

Optional features require their owning plugin, such as Course Grid, supported form builders or ProPanel’s email API. Settings show dependency availability. Vital Addons detects selected overlapping PowerPack and Uncanny Toolkit controls; disable overlapping behavior before enabling the corresponding Vital Addons module.

Which form builders are supported?

Adapters are included for Gravity Forms 2.5+, Elementor Pro’s classic Form widget and Contact Form 7. Each form must explicitly opt in. Elementor Pro and Contact Form 7 have local integration evidence. The Gravity Forms adapter has not been verified against a licensed live installation; test your form workflow on staging. Elementor Atomic Forms, WPForms, Formidable Forms and Fluent Forms are not supported.

Does Front End Login include CAPTCHA and two-factor authentication?

WordPress handles passwords, sessions and reset keys. CAPTCHA defaults to None. reCAPTCHA and Turnstile require a separate rendering and server-verification integration; Vital Addons does not include a working standalone provider connection. Selecting a provider without both adapters fails closed and shows Needs setup.

CAPTCHA rendering adapters return allowlisted container, label, input and textarea markup. Inline scripts, event attributes and embedded frames are removed. Enqueue provider scripts through the WordPress script API; validate the submitted token in the server-verification adapter.

The optional WP 2FA adapter hands authentication to that plugin’s Native verification flow. REST verification, passkeys and arbitrary two-factor plugins are not claimed as supported. Test your enforcement policy and recovery route before replacing the core login page.

What should I know about Email Sandbox?

It suppresses outgoing WordPress email while enabled. Persistent administrative warnings identify the active state. Do not enable it on a site where users depend on emailed login codes. Turn the module off to restore normal delivery. No email bodies or passwords are logged by Vital Addons.

Does Completed-Step Access restore expired enrollments?

No. It permits review only for explicitly selected courses, completed published lessons/topics and a native expiry observed while the rule was active. It does not grant unfinished-step or quiz-attempt access, infer rights from old progress, or restore manually revoked enrollment. Configuration changes, deactivation and enrollment changes invalidate retained review rights.

Can I undo Bulk Course Access?

The module keeps one operation journal per administrator and site. Confirm rollback to restore access modes that still match that operation. Intervening changes produce conflicts instead of being overwritten. Clearing history, erasing the administrator’s Vital Addons data or choosing data deletion on uninstall removes that rollback journal. Page-level Undo does not undo an already applied bulk operation.

How should I configure caching?

Exclude login/reset pages and personalized learner pages from shared full-page caching. Purge page caches after changing access, visibility, redirects or design. Supported purge integrations do not replace the cache configuration required by your host, CDN or authentication plugins. Login-state visibility controls presentation; it is not authorization for protected content. Nested block and shortcode output allows standard post HTML and form controls. Inline scripts, event handlers and embedded frames are removed; integrations must enqueue their scripts through WordPress.

Will existing shortcodes and settings continue to work?

Existing featurepack_ shortcode tags remain supported alongside the new vital_ aliases, such as [vital_login], [vital_resume] and [vital_certificates]. Existing saved blocks and settings retain their internal identifiers. If replacing a prerelease FeaturePack installation, deactivate it before activating Vital Addons; do not activate both copies together.

What data does Vital Addons store?

Vital Addons stores module and design settings, configured course/menu metadata, optional account-verification state, bounded per-user resume history and observed-expiry review records, and administrator bulk-operation journals. Authentication throttles use short-lived hashed fingerprints. WordPress personal-data export and erasure include Vital Addons learner data and bulk journals. The WordPress Privacy Policy Guide contains suggested text for site owners.

Settings and reusable metadata are preserved on uninstall by default. To remove Vital Addons-owned data, open Help → Data on uninstall and explicitly enable deletion before deleting the plugin. Short-lived safety markers and authentication throttles are cleared in either mode. User-authored posts, navigation items, shortcode/block content, third-party form configuration and unrelated data remain.

Does Vital Addons contact external services?

Vital Addons sends no telemetry, license checks or remote asset requests. Its font, scripts and styles are bundled locally. Email uses WordPress’s configured mail transport. Optional integrations can contact their own providers under their own settings and policies; Vital Addons itself does not submit CAPTCHA requests. Where is the source code?

PHP, JavaScript and CSS are included as readable source in the plugin ZIP. No compilation is needed to run or edit them. WordPress supplies its standard script libraries. LICENSE and THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt describe the GPL and bundled Outfit font license.
