Unconfirmed

Description

If you run a WordPress or BuddyPress installation, you probably know that some of the biggest administrative headaches come from the activation process. Activation emails may be caught by spam filters, deleted unwillingly, or simply not understood. Yet WordPress itself has no UI for viewing and managing unactivated members.

Unconfirmed creates a Dashboard panel under the Users menu (Network Admin > Users on Multisite) that shows a list of unactivated user registrations. For each registration, you have the option of resending the original activation email, or manually activating the user.

Did exactly what I needed

Googled for “wordpress cancel pending users”, this plugin can up as one of the top results, so installed, activated, and achieved exactly what I needed, inside of about 30 seconds. Literally perfect.

Doesnt work

Support seems to have stopped and this no longer works on the higher, recent versions of wordpress. Check the support forum to confirm this. Admin, get it fixed and I’ll of course adjust this review.

Invaluable!

Oh man, this plugin is invaluable if you’ve ever been “stuck” after creating a user who didn’t get the password email. This just works. Many thanks!!!!

Saves So Many User Account Headaches

I find at least 80% of my current students do not seem to get the account emails, be it spam filters, university grey walls, etc. This makes it so much easier to untangle account set up. Boone rocks! Big fan!
