This plugin hasn’t been tested with the latest 3 major releases of WordPress. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.



Automatically adds the official Tweet button after a post. All options available at are configurable in the WordPress options area.

  1. Upload twitterbutton folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress


Can I customize the location the Tweet button will appear?

Yes. By disabling auto-output in the settings, the theme files can be used to render the button. See Advanced Usage at

Can I disable auto-output?

Yes. You can disable auto-output so that only manual function calls will render tweet buttons. You can also make the function calls disabled when auto-output is enable or override it so that both auto-output and your functions will render tweet buttons. See Advanced Usage
