  • You can create annotations in your pages or posts.
  • Once read, you can delete or edit them as well as creating new ones.
  • Use cases could be personal annotations or instructions for your review team.
  • Works perfect with TinyMCE Advanced.

There are three options:

Create/edit annotation

Just select the text and the annotation color. For editing, just select the annotation and click in the same icon.

Delete annotation

You can delete the current selected annotation.

Show/Hide annotation

You can show or hide current annotations (it doesn’t remove the annotations, just hide them).

Annotations are only shown in the TinyMCE editor, that means you will only see them in the admin area.

Beware of Privacy Intrusion

Alas! Yet another, otherwise quite useful, plugin that ruins user trust by incorporating snoopy code.

My take: Go Pro, if you must, but don’t play with users’ trust.

It earns two stars, because it actually still works – which isn’t the norm when you run spyware-infested code.

The plugin is not to be trusted or recommended, though, since you never know, when it will stop working without you giving away even more of your personal data.

Exactly what I needed

I have been looking for a plugin that my editor can use to edit our posts before we have them posted. There has been absolutely nothing out there to do such a thing, but I’ve finally found this annotate plugin which is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Just as I’d wanted it also does NOT show the annotations on the post itself once public. Thanks for this fantastic plugin!

Most satisfactory

I am developing a book (or extended piece of work) drafting and writing platform. This meets my prospective needs. It is easy enough to use.
