Themofy Addons for Elementor

Description

Themofy Addons brings Elementor Pro features to the free version of Elementor, in one lightweight plugin:

  • Theme Builder — design your header, footer, blog posts, archives, shop, product pages and 404 page with Elementor, and choose where each one appears.
  • Form Builder — contact, quote, booking and multi-step forms with conditional fields, file uploads, emails, saved submissions and spam protection.
  • WooCommerce Checkout Builder — one or two columns or a two-step checkout, reorder, rename and hide fields, set their widths per device, and add your own fields to orders.
  • 47 widgets — Form and Checkout, 7 general widgets (Heading, Creative Button, Icon List, Accordion, Category Grid, Advanced Slider, Testimonials), 12 blog widgets, 21 more WooCommerce widgets and 5 site widgets, each with full style controls.
  • Dynamic Tags — fill any widget field with live site data: post titles, featured images, custom fields, ACF fields, WooCommerce prices and more.

Turn each widget on or off under Themofy Addons Widgets. Widgets you turn off are not loaded at all, so your site stays fast.

In the Elementor panel, the widgets made for what you are editing come first, in a group of their own: product widgets in a Single Product template, post widgets in a Single template, site widgets in a header or footer, the Checkout widget on your checkout page. The plugin’s widgets carry the Themofy mark, in the panel and in the Structure (navigator).

Formerly Themofy Dynamic Tags for Elementor. Version 2.0 adds the Theme Builder and the widgets; your dynamic tags, designs and settings are unchanged.

Theme Builder

Create a template, design it in Elementor, and pick where it appears with display conditions — no coding needed.

Templates you can build

  • Header and Footer — replace your theme’s header and footer on the whole site or on selected pages.
  • Single Post / Page — the layout of blog posts, pages or any custom post type.
  • Archive — blog, category, tag, author, date and search result pages.
  • Single Product and Product Archive (Shop) — your WooCommerce product pages, shop and product categories.
  • 404 Page — a custom “page not found” page.
  • Section — a reusable block you place anywhere with a shortcode.

Display conditions

Show each template exactly where you want: the entire site, all archives, the blog page, search results, a category (or specific categories), an author, all posts, all pages, specific posts or pages, posts in a category, posts by an author, the front page or the 404 page — and exclude any of them. When several templates fit a page, the most specific one is used.

Build headers and footers with the Site widgets (Site Logo, Site Title, Nav Menu with dropdowns and a mobile menu button, Search Form, Copyright), blog posts and archives with the Blog widgets, and product pages and the shop with the WooCommerce widgets below. While you design a single post or product template, the editor shows one of your real posts or products.

All widgets are in one Themofy Addons group in the Elementor panel, and like Elementor Pro, each one appears only where it makes sense: post widgets (Post Title, Post Meta, Post Content…) in Single templates, product widgets (Product Title, Product Price, Add to Cart…) in Single Product templates, Archive Title in archive and shop templates and Products Archive in shop templates. Site widgets, Blog Posts, Product Grid, Breadcrumb and Cart Icon are available everywhere. Works with classic themes (such as Hello Elementor, Astra, GeneratePress, OceanWP) and block themes (such as Twenty Twenty-Five).

Form Builder

The Form widget builds any form with full style controls for labels, fields, checkboxes, buttons, steps and messages.

  • 17 field types: text, email, textarea, phone, URL, number, date, time, drop-down (single or multiple), radio buttons, checkboxes, acceptance, password, file upload, hidden, HTML text and steps. Each field has a column width per device, placeholder, default value, help text and its own ID.
  • Multi-step forms with a progress bar or numbered steps with titles; each step is checked before moving on.
  • Conditional fields: show a field only when another field is, is not, contains, is empty or is not empty.
  • File uploads with allowed types, size and number of files. Files are stored with random names in a folder that can’t run scripts.
  • Actions after submit: save to Themofy Addons Submissions, email, confirmation email to the visitor, redirect and webhook (Zapier, Make, n8n…). Emails use merge tags such as [field id="email"] and [all-fields], with From, Reply-To, Cc and Bcc.
  • Submissions page: list, search, filter by form, read / unread, delete and CSV export. Submissions are included in WordPress’s personal data export and erase tools.
  • Spam protection without third-party services: honeypot, minimum time before sending and an optional math question.
  • Secure by design: the form’s settings are always read from the saved page, every value is checked on the server, and values are escaped in emails.

WooCommerce Checkout Builder

The Checkout widget shows WooCommerce’s own checkout, so payment gateways, coupons, shipping and order emails keep working, in a layout you design.

  • Layouts: order summary on the right, left, above or below, sticky if you like. The layout uses its own grid, so theme styles can’t break it.
  • Two-step checkout (optional): details first (checked before moving on), then payment with a summary of the details. Numbers, breadcrumb or progress bar as the step indicator.
  • Payment methods in the order summary or below the customer details.
  • Field editor for billing, shipping and additional fields: drag to reorder, change labels and placeholders, add default values and help texts, make fields required or optional, hide them, and set each field’s width per device (100%, 75%, 66%, 50%, 33%, 25% or a custom width).
  • Custom checkout fields (text, textarea, drop-down, radio, checkbox, email, phone, number, date) saved on the order and shown in the order screen, WooCommerce emails and the customer’s order details.
  • Order summary: product images with quantity badges, an “Edit cart” link and a coupon field right in the summary (or WooCommerce’s coupon link above the checkout), and your own texts for the headings and the Place Order button.
  • Style everything: columns, the billing, shipping, additional and payment sections, headings, labels, help texts, fields (including the country and state drop-downs), steps, order summary table, payment methods, Place Order button, notices and the coupon and login forms.

General widgets

Building blocks for any page, each with full style controls.

  • Heading — write words in double braces, like Build pages that {{stand out}}, to style them on their own: color or gradient text, highlight background, border and padding. Ready-made effects for those words: underline, highlighter marker, hand-drawn circle, curly line, double line, zigzag, strikethrough and wavy underline, drawn in when the heading scrolls into view. Optional sub title (plain, with lines or as a pill), description and separator.
  • Creative Button — 13 ready-made hover effects: fill from left, fill from bottom, shutter, diagonal sweep, circle burst, shine, border draw, text roll, icon reveal, icon swap, lift & glow, 3D push and pulse ring. The icon has its own style: size, colors, background box, border, radius, and a rotate or move on hover.
  • Icon List — each item shows an icon from the icon libraries, your own uploaded SVG, an image, or a short text such as a number or emoji, with an optional description and link. List, inline or grid layout, icon left, right or on top, dividers and per-item colors.
  • Accordion — items with an icon or image beside the title, rich text content and an image above, below, left or right of the text. One item open at a time or several, plus/minus, chevron, arrow or your own toggle icons, three ready-made designs, keyboard navigation and optional FAQ schema for search engines.
  • Category Grid — product or post categories, tags or any custom taxonomy as a grid or list: top level, children of a term or of the current archive, or hand-picked. Image, title, count, description, sub-terms and button, in six grid designs, three list designs and seven hover effects.
  • Advanced Slider — slides with an image, video or color background, overlay, heading, text, two buttons and a side image. Eight templates (Hero, Fullscreen Ken Burns, Minimal, Split, Floating Card, Bold Promo, Card Carousel, Coverflow), seven effects, slides per view per device, autoplay with a progress bar, Ken Burns, text animations, and many arrow and pagination styles. Built on Swiper, which Elementor already includes.
  • Testimonials — carousel, grid, masonry or endless marquee, with photo (or initials), name, role, company, logo, star rating, date and badge, in eight templates. Build your own card: drag the parts into any order, group them in rows or columns, and set each part’s alignment, width, spacing, size and position (even free positioning on the card). Start from any template’s structure with one click.

Blog widgets

Design your blog page, archives and single posts. Every widget has full style controls.

  • Blog Posts — six ready-made designs, as cards, a list or overlays. Show the posts of the page being viewed or choose them by post type, category, tag, IDs, order and offset, with badge, meta, excerpt, Read More button and pagination.
  • Archive Title — the category, tag, author, date or search title with its description.
  • Post Title, Featured Image (ratio, link, lightbox, caption, fallback image) and Post Excerpt.
  • Post Meta — author with photo, date, last updated, categories, tags, comments, reading time and custom text, in any order, each with its own label and icon.
  • Post Content — the post content, with styles for text, links, headings, quotes, images and lists.
  • Post Terms — categories, tags or any taxonomy, as text, pills or a list.
  • Author Box — photo, name, biography and a link to the author’s posts.
  • Post Navigation — previous and next post, with titles, arrows and thumbnails.
  • Related Posts — posts from the same category or with the same tags.
  • Post Comments — the comment list and form, fully styled.

WooCommerce widgets

Build your own product pages, shop and cart icon, with full style controls for every part.

  • Product Grid — products on any page, with five ready-made designs (Elevated Card, Outline, Minimal, Soft and Dark): latest, featured, on sale, best selling, top rated or hand-picked, filtered by category and tag, with columns per device and optional pagination.
  • Product Title — any heading tag, optional link.
  • Product Images — WooCommerce’s gallery with zoom, lightbox and thumbnail slider (each can be switched off), optional slider arrows, thumbnail columns and sale flash.
  • Product Featured Image — the main image alone, any size, linked to the product or opened in a lightbox, with hover effects.
  • Product Price — sale and regular price styled separately, inline or stacked, currency symbol and price suffix.
  • Add to Cart — quantity, button, variation choices, grouped products and stock, side by side or stacked.
  • Product Rating, Product Stock (colors for in stock, out of stock and backorder) and Sale Badge (with the discount percentage).
  • Short Description and Product Description.
  • Product Meta (SKU, categories and tags with your own labels), Product Categories and Product Tags (as text, pills or a list).
  • Additional Information — the attributes table, with striped rows.
  • Product Tabs — normal, hover and active tab styles, and the panel.
  • Product Reviews — the reviews list and the review form, fully styled.
  • Related Products — related products or upsells, with columns per device and the same ready-made designs.
  • Products Archive — the shop grid with result count, sorting, pagination and the same ready-made designs.
  • WooCommerce Breadcrumb and Cart Icon (live item count and subtotal, your own icon).

Product widgets are made for Single Product templates and show the product being viewed (or one picked by its ID). They print WooCommerce’s own templates and hooks, so themes and WooCommerce extensions keep working, and they work with classic and block themes.

Dynamic Tags

Dynamic tags let a widget field show live site data. Free Elementor has the system but no tags; Themofy Addons provides them, for text, links, images, galleries, colors and numbers, in classic and Elementor 4 (V4) widgets.

  • Post: Post Title, Post Excerpt, Post URL, Post ID, Post Date, Post Time, Post Terms, Reading Time, Featured Image, Featured Image Data, Post Attached Images.
  • Archive: Archive Title, Archive Description, Archive URL.
  • Site: Site Title, Site Tagline, Site URL, Site Logo, Page Title, Current Date Time, Request Parameter, Shortcode.
  • Author: Author Name, Author Info, Author URL, Author Profile Picture.
  • User (the logged-in visitor): User Info, User Profile Picture.
  • Comments: Comments Number, Comments URL.
  • Custom Fields: Custom Field (text, link, number or color), Custom Field Image, Custom Field Gallery — any custom field (Meta Box, Pods, plain WordPress meta…) from the current post, archive term, post author, logged-in user or an ACF options page.
  • ACF (when Advanced Custom Fields is active): ACF Field, ACF URL, ACF Image, ACF Gallery. Just pick the field from the list; the value is found automatically and comes out ready to use (images, links, choice labels, true / false, related posts, dates, Group sub fields).
  • Links: Contact URL (email, phone, SMS, WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger, Viber, Skype, Google Maps, Waze), Internal URL, Login / Logout URL.
  • WooCommerce (when WooCommerce is active): Product Title, Product Price, Product Sale Badge, Product Short Description, Product SKU, Product Stock, Product Rating, Product Attribute, Product Data, Product Image, Product Gallery, Product Category Image, Add To Cart URL, Store Page URL, Cart Info.

Every product tag works with the current product or a product picked by ID. Any tag can be switched off under Themofy Addons Dynamic Tags.

Themofy Addons is an independent plugin. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Elementor Ltd., WooCommerce or Advanced Custom Fields.

FAQ

I used Themofy Dynamic Tags. What changed in 2.0?

Only the name and the new features. Your dynamic tags, your designs and the tags you switched off are kept. The tag settings moved from Settings Themofy Dynamic Tags to Themofy Addons Dynamic Tags. The new Theme Builder and widgets change nothing on your site until you use them.

Do I need Elementor Pro?

No. Everything works with the free version of Elementor. If Elementor Pro is active too, its own tags are listed as well; you can switch off duplicates under Themofy Addons Dynamic Tags.

Does it work with other Elementor addons, such as ElementsKit, Royal Elementor Addons or Jeg Kit?

Yes. Every widget, tag, style and script has its own Themofy name, so nothing is replaced or restyled by the other plugin, and you can use their widgets and ours on the same page. If another plugin’s header and footer builder also has a header or footer for a page, the Themofy template is used on the pages where it applies (so the page never gets two headers), and theirs everywhere else. Our templates don’t apply to the templates of other builders while you edit them.

How do I style one word of a heading differently?

In the Heading widget, wrap the words in double braces: Grow your {{business}} today. Style them under Style Focused Text and pick an effect under Focused Text Effect. You can mark several parts of one heading.

Where do form messages go?

To the addresses you set under Actions After Submit Email, and (with “Save to Submissions”) to Themofy Addons Submissions. If emails don’t arrive, your site probably can’t send email yet: an SMTP plugin fixes that. Saved submissions are kept either way.

How do I use the Checkout widget?

Add it to a page and set that page as the Checkout page under WooCommerce Settings Advanced, so “Proceed to checkout” buttons and the order confirmation lead there. In the editor the checkout shows a sample product when your cart is empty.

How do I make a two-step checkout?

In the Checkout widget, open Steps and switch on Two-Step Checkout. Customers see their details first and continue to payment once the required fields are filled in. If WooCommerce finds a problem with a detail when the order is placed, the customer is taken back to the details step. Choose Show in the Editor to design either step.

How do I change the width of a checkout or form field?

Open the field in the list. In the Checkout widget, its Layout tab has Width; in the Form widget, it’s Column Width. Pick a preset, or Custom for a width of your own, and switch the device icon to set a different width on tablets and phones.

Are form uploads safe?

Only the file types you allow are accepted, files are checked by their content, renamed to random names and stored in wp-content/uploads/themofy-forms/, where scripts can’t run.

How do I turn widgets off?

Go to Themofy Addons Widgets, switch off the widgets you don’t use and click Save Changes. They disappear from the Elementor panel and nothing of theirs loads on your site. Pages that already use a widget you turn off will no longer show it.

How do I build a product page?

Go to Themofy Addons Theme Builder, add a template of the type Single Product, choose where it applies (all products, or some), publish it and click Edit with Elementor. Add the product widgets from the Themofy Addons group. The editor shows one of your products while you design.

Why don’t I see Product Title or Post Meta on a normal page?

Like in Elementor Pro, widgets that show a part of the current post or product appear only in the templates where they work: post widgets in Single templates, product widgets in Single Product templates. Create the template in Themofy Addons Theme Builder and edit it with Elementor to find them. To show products on a normal page, use Product Grid (set Show to Hand-picked Products for specific ones); for posts, use Blog Posts.

Which slider templates are there?

Hero (centered text), Fullscreen with Ken Burns zoom, Minimal with left text, Split (text with an image), Floating Card, Bold Promo, Card Carousel and Coverflow Gallery. A template sets the layout, look and motion; any effect, pagination or spacing you choose yourself replaces the template’s, and the Style tab changes the rest.

How do I build my own testimonial card?

In the Testimonials widget, open Structure and switch on Customize the Structure. Click Start From: The Template’s Structure to begin with the parts of the chosen template, then drag the parts in the list to reorder them. Add Group: Start and Group: End around parts to put them in a row or a column, and open any part to set its alignment, width, spacing or a free position on the card (for example a photo in a corner).

Why are some widgets in a group at the top of the panel?

That group holds the widgets made for what you are editing, such as the product widgets in a Single Product template or the site widgets in a header. All other Themofy widgets are in the Themofy Addons group, as before.

Are there ready-made designs for the grids?

Yes. In Blog Posts, Related Posts, Product Grid, Products Archive and Related Products, choose a Design under the layout settings. Every design is a starting point: the Style tab controls change any part of it, including the image width, height, fit and alignment, the image frame, the card padding and the content padding. Choose Plain (theme styles) to use only your theme’s styles.

My template doesn’t show on the site

Check that the template is published, has been designed with Elementor (the templates list says “Not designed yet” otherwise) and has a display condition that matches the page.

Two templates match the same page. Which one is used?

The most specific condition wins: a specific post beats “All Posts”, which beats “All Singular”, which beats “Entire Site”. If two templates are equally specific, the newest one is used. Exclusions always win.

How do I show the post content in a single template?

Add the Post Content widget where the article should go. For blog and category pages, use the Blog Posts widget and set Posts to Posts of the Current Page.

Can I use a template inside a page?

Yes. Create a template of the type Section and paste its shortcode, shown in the templates list, into any page — for example with Elementor’s Shortcode widget.

Can I add scripts to a template with Elementor’s HTML widget?

No. For security, template output is filtered with WordPress’s wp_kses(), which removes <script> and <style> tags. Style your templates with Elementor’s controls, and add tracking or chat scripts with a dedicated plugin. The post content itself is printed by WordPress unchanged. Developers can adjust the allowed HTML with the themofy_tb_allowed_html filter.

Why is a dynamic tag empty in the editor?

The editor previews tags against the page you are editing. Archive tags only have a value on archive pages, User tags only for logged-in visitors, and Custom Field tags only when the field has a value on that page.

My ACF field shows nothing

Use the tags in the ACF group and pick the field from the list. A field group key (it starts with group_) is not a field and never has a value. The field also needs a value on the post being shown; otherwise the tag is empty or shows its Fallback (under Advanced).

Why can’t the Custom Field tag show some keys?

Keys that look like passwords, tokens, secrets, sessions or capabilities are always blocked so they cannot be printed on a public page. The “ACF Options Page” source only reads ACF options fields (options_{field_name}), never arbitrary site options. Developers can adjust the block list with the themofy_dt_is_sensitive_meta_key filter.

Does the Cart Info count update when something is added to the cart?

Yes. The tag loads WooCommerce’s cart fragments script, which refreshes the count, subtotal and total after an AJAX add-to-cart and when a cached page is loaded.

What does the Add To Cart URL do for variable products?

Variable and grouped products need options chosen first, so the link goes to the product page instead. External products link to their external URL. Out-of-stock products link to the product page.

My shortcode’s form or iframe is stripped

Shortcode output is limited to the HTML allowed in post content. Developers can allow more tags (such as form, input or iframe) with the themofy_dt_shortcode_allowed_html filter.

How do I add my own dynamic tag?

Create a class that extends \Elementor\Core\DynamicTags\Tag (text output) or \Elementor\Core\DynamicTags\Data_Tag (URLs, images, galleries) and add its class name through the themofy_dt_tag_classes filter. Use one of the plugin’s groups, e.g. \ThemofyAddons\DynamicTags\Plugin::GROUP_SITE. Tags written for 1.x with \ThemofyDynamicTags\… class names keep working.
