Description
Every FluentCRM install accumulates tag debt: VIP, vip and V.I.P living side by side, dozens of tags from old campaigns with zero subscribers, names nobody remembers the meaning of. FluentCRM itself has no bulk tools to fix this — managing 100+ tags one by one is painfully slow.
Tag Toolbox fixes that in one screen:
- Merge tags — tick the duplicates, pick the survivor, done. Subscribers are moved over without creating duplicates, sources are deleted
- Duplicate detector — finds tags whose names differ only by case, spaces or dashes
- Delete unused — one click removes every tag with zero subscribers
- Rename in place — fix a name without touching the slug, so nothing referencing the tag breaks

Safe by design
- Merges are bulk database operations that do not fire your automations for every contact — a cleanup should never trigger your funnels

Tag Toolbox Pro
Pro is a separate plugin available from tendforge.com. None of its code is included in this free version — everything described below is a Pro-only plugin, and nothing in this free download is locked, limited or time-restricted.
Free finds and merges duplicates. Pro keeps your CRM clean over time:
- Tag/List Health Report — a 0–100 cleanliness score plus counts of empty tags, duplicate groups and single-use tags, right at the top of the page. FluentCRM has no such overview
- One-click auto-merge — merge every duplicate group at once (most-used name wins), instead of group by group
- Scheduled hygiene email — a weekly or monthly report with your score and what needs cleaning, so clutter never creeps back
- CSV export of your tags/lists with contact counts
Everything runs on your own FluentCRM data — no SaaS, no monthly fee, no sending your contacts to a third party.

Installation
- Install and activate the plugin. Requires FluentCRM to be installed and active.
- In the WordPress admin, open FluentCRM → Tag Toolbox (or Tools → Tag Toolbox if the FluentCRM menu is unavailable).
- Review the possible duplicate tags and lists it finds (names differing only by case, spacing or dashes), tick the ones to keep and merge the rest — merging is a batch database operation that deliberately does not trigger your automations.
- Use the extra tools as needed: delete unused or empty tags, and check the health report with its cleanliness score.
- (Optional) Upgrade to Pro for one-click auto-merge of every duplicate group, CSV export and scheduled health-check emails.

Will merging trigger my automations?

No, deliberately. Tag-applied automation triggers do not fire during a merge — moving 5,000 contacts between tags should not start 5,000 funnel runs. FluentCRM’s tag-deleted hooks do fire, so integrations stay in sync.

They simply keep the target tag — no duplicate relations are created.

Does renaming break my funnels or campaigns?

No. FluentCRM references tags by ID, and renaming only changes the display name. The slug is left untouched.
