SyncTec

Description

SyncTec links a WooCommerce store to a SyncTec source store. Once connected:

• SyncTec imports this store’s product catalog (matched by SKU) to know what’s already listed.
• SyncTec pushes new orders from the source store directly into this store via the WooCommerce REST API.

This plugin does not run any sync logic itself, and it doesn’t host account registration, login, or team joining either — all of that happens on the SyncTec web application. This plugin only sends you there and back, then handles the one thing that must happen locally in WordPress: generating the WooCommerce REST API credentials SyncTec uses to talk to this store. All product and order syncing happens on SyncTec’s servers.

External services

This plugin connects this site to SyncTec (https://synctec.io), a separate multistore inventory sync service, so that product and order data can be synchronised between this store and others on the merchant’s SyncTec account. This connection is not optional — it is this plugin’s entire purpose — but nothing is sent until the merchant explicitly clicks Continue to SyncTec or Connect WooCommerce in the SyncTec screen under wp-admin.

What is sent, and when:

• When you click Continue to SyncTec, this site’s domain and site title are sent to SyncTec’s application, so you can register or log in and be redirected back here. https://app.synctec.io
• When you click Connect WooCommerce, a WooCommerce REST API consumer key and secret (generated locally by this plugin) are sent to SyncTec’s API, so SyncTec’s servers can read and write products and orders on this store. https://api.synctec.io
• When you click Disconnect, or on uninstall, this site notifies SyncTec so it can deregister the connection on its side.

No data is sent automatically in the background, and no data is sent before you take one of the actions above.
