Description
SuryaCreates Pencil Pointer adds a playful, no-clutter drawing feature to your site. The moment a visitor clicks-and-drags (or, on mobile, long-presses and drags), their cursor becomes a pencil and they can sketch freehand right on top of your pages — no buttons, no toolbars, no visible UI at all.
How it works
- Desktop: click and drag anywhere to draw.
- Mobile: long-press and drag to draw (so normal scrolling isn’t affected).
- Sketches live only in the visitor’s own browser tab and disappear the moment they refresh the page — nothing is saved, stored, or sent anywhere.
- Optionally, visitors can clear their sketch instantly with the C, Delete, or Backspace keys.
Fully configurable
- Turn the feature on or off site-wide with one click.
- Choose your own pencil color and stroke size.
- Adjust the mobile long-press duration to fine-tune how easily drawing triggers versus normal scrolling.
- Show the feature to everyone, only logged-out visitors, or only logged-in users.
- Run it on every page, only on specific pages, or everywhere except specific pages — using a simple page picker in the settings screen.

Installation
- In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New and search for “SuryaCreates Pencil Pointer” — or upload the plugin
.zipfile directly via Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin. - Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu.
- Go to Settings > Pencil Pointer to choose your pencil color, size, and where the feature should appear.
- Visit your site and click-drag (or long-press-drag on mobile) anywhere to try it out.
FAQ

Are visitor sketches saved anywhere?

No. Sketches exist only in the visitor’s browser for the current page view and are cleared automatically on refresh. Nothing is stored in your database or sent to any external service.

Will this interfere with normal scrolling on mobile?

No. On mobile, drawing only begins after a deliberate long-press-and-drag, so normal scrolling and tapping are unaffected. You can adjust the long-press duration in the settings if you’d like it to trigger more or less easily.

Can I limit this to certain pages only?

Yes. Under Settings > Pencil Pointer, choose “Only run on the pages selected below” or “Run everywhere EXCEPT the pages selected below” and pick your pages from the list.

No. There is no on-page UI at all — the only thing that changes is the cursor itself, which becomes a pencil.
