This plugin hasn’t been tested with the latest 3 major releases of WordPress. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.

SuperTags Flash is any easy to use widget that fits in the sidebar of your blog, it allows you to shows tags in nice cloud style flash object.

  • The tag sphere. You can set colors that match your theme on the plugin's options page.
  • The options panel.
  • There's a separate one for the widget.

  1. Make sure you’re running WordPress version 2.3 or better. It won’t work with older versions.
  2. Download the zip file and extract the contents.
  3. Upload the ‘supertags-flash’ folder to your plugins directory (wp-content/plugins/).
  4. Activate the plugin through the ‘plugins’ page in WP.
  5. See ‘Options->SuperTags Flash’ to adjust things like display size, etc…

In order to actually display the tag cloud, you have three options.

  1. Create a page or post and type [supertags-flash] anywhere in the content. This ‘tag’ will be replaced by the flash movie when viewing the page.
  2. Add the following code anywhere in your theme to display the cloud. <?php supertags_flash_insert(); ?> This can be used to add WP Cumulus to your sidebar, although it may not actually be wide enough in many cases to keep the tags readable.
  3. The plugin adds a widget, so you can place it on your sidebar through ‘Appearance’->’Widgets’. Open the widget to access it’s own set of settings (background color, size, etc).

How does this work?

It is very simple to start using SuperTags, just simply install the plugin and adjust your settings in the options window.
