Sridhatrikrishna Staff Attendance Yantra – Lite

Description

Free supervised staff attendance for a shared workplace computer. Test on a staging site, keep recoverable backups, and review the privacy and security documentation before production use.

  • Administrators create staff records without creating WordPress accounts.
  • The administrator chooses each staff code or generates an eight-character code in the browser.
  • Codes are case-insensitive, hashed for authentication and encrypted for deliberate administrator-only reveal.
  • Enable any number of staff members; shift history is retained when access is disabled.
  • Set your own hospital/company name under Sridhatrikrishna Attendance > Setup.
  • A logged-in administrator supervises the shared-computer attendance page while staff enter their codes.
  • Explicit Check in and Check out buttons, with server-generated success/error messages.
  • Server-generated UTC timestamps; display in the WordPress timezone with DD/MM/YYYY dates.
  • Duplicate check-ins and check-outs are rejected; multiple completed shifts per day and overnight shifts are supported.
  • Administrator-only date-range reports and CSV export.
  • No expiry, paid unlock, staff quota, telemetry, API key, external service, camera or location permission.
  • No theme dependency; a shortcode provides the staff interface.

This edition depends on administrator supervision and is not independent proof of physical presence. Anyone who knows another person’s code could act as that person if the supervisor permits it. It contains no face recognition, GPS, registered-device restrictions, payroll, breaks, midpoint attendance, automatic checkout, record correction or scheduled email.

Pro and Advanced Pro

Pro is being prepared for verified attendance with administrator-approved enrollment, attendance-event face checks, location rules and expanded auditing. Advanced Pro is planned to add explicit-permission work-hours location visibility through a companion app. These are separate products, not hidden or locked code inside Free.

Pro and Advanced Pro are separate products and are not included or locked inside this plugin. Free continues to work without a Pro purchase.

Distribution

The same Free release may be available from the official website and the WordPress Plugin Directory. The website copy must identify its version and checksum and remain synchronized with the directory stable release. WordPress.org remains the update source for the directory edition; this plugin does not fetch or install executable updates from the publisher’s website.

Privacy

Stored by this plugin: staff name and identifier, enabled status, creation time, keyed one-way staff-code hash, encrypted staff code, check-in UTC time and optional check-out UTC time. Administrators can deliberately reveal eligible encrypted codes, view reports and export CSV. Protect administrator accounts, WordPress salts and backups because they control access to those codes. No biometric, raw video, phone, GPS, device fingerprint or IP data is intentionally collected by this plugin, and no attendance data or telemetry is intentionally transmitted to the publisher. WordPress, the host and security software may independently create logs or backups. Deactivation and plugin-file deletion retain records. Site operators must define employee notices, lawful purpose, access controls, correction, retention, export and erasure procedures. No legal compliance guarantee is made.

Installation

  1. Create a separate test WordPress site. Back up production before any later installation.
  2. Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin > select this ZIP > Install > Activate.
  3. Settings > General > Timezone: choose Kolkata for Indian Standard Time, or your workplace timezone.
Under Sridhatrikrishna Attendance > Setup, enter your own hospital/company name.
  4. Under Sridhatrikrishna Attendance > Staff, add each person and type a unique code or use Generate code. Administrators can reveal a masked code later if a staff member forgets it.
  5. Create a private page with a Shortcode block: [skh_attendance]. Do not cache this page in a host/CDN/page-cache plugin.
  6. Keep an administrator signed in and present at the shared computer. Try Check in and Check out with a test staff code, then review Sridhatrikrishna Attendance > Reports.

Activation creates only this plugin’s dedicated shifts and staff tables and schema option. It does not create WordPress users or public pages or add staff automatically. Deactivation and uninstall retain attendance data, organisation settings and staff records. WordPress roles and permissions are not modified. This release does not provide an automatic erasure workflow.

FAQ

Can staff use one shared computer?

Yes. A logged-in administrator must remain present while one staff member at a time enters a private code.

Does the plugin verify location, face or device?

No. It records supervised code submissions and is not independent proof of identity, location, physical presence or continuous work.

Can an administrator reveal a forgotten code?

Codes created or replaced in version 0.5.0 or later are encrypted for deliberate administrator-only reveal. Earlier codes remain usable but must be replaced once before they can be revealed.

Does deleting the plugin delete attendance records?

No. Deactivation and plugin-file deletion retain the dedicated database tables and settings. Site operators must apply their own approved retention and erasure procedure.

Does the plugin contact the publisher or collect telemetry?

No. This release does not intentionally transmit attendance data or telemetry to the publisher or an external service. WordPress, hosting and security software may create their own logs and backups.
