This plugin hasn’t been tested with the latest 3 major releases of WordPress. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.



What this Plugin silhouetts against all the other YouTube plugins is the ability to upload
videos directly from your administration panel. Further you can administrate all your videos
at YouTube and implement them into your posts.

Precondition for spYouTube is PHP5 on your webserver!

  1. Get Zend Framework minimal from
  2. Upload spYouTube to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  3. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
  4. Upload Zend Framewok to the /wp-content/plugins/spYouTube directory
  5. Create a YouTube Account.(
  6. Create a Google Account to get the ClientID and a Developer Key. (
  7. Adjust the options


How to embed the videos

Embed video: [video id=”XXX”]
Optional parameter: [video id=”XXX” width=”XXX” height=”XXX” allowFullScreen=”false” rating=”true”]

Embed all videos: [allvideos]
Optional parameter: [allvideos template=”XXX”]

You can also embed your videos via the media-popup when you write a new post.
Be careful with searched videos! You only can add the rating to you own videos!
