Installing Snippet Vault is a snap.

  1. Upload the ‘snippet-vault’ folder’ to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
  3. Add snippets via the Snippet Manager or the Snippet Vault widget in the post/page editor.
  4. Move the Snippet Vault widget to a desired place in the post/page editor and add snippets.


How large of snippets can I store and use?

Snippet Vault was designed to store and re-use single lines of short codes and html. Still, it has been tested with multi-line embeds including Google Maps embeds. Testing has revealed that large snippets such as entire div sections of HTML pages can require a little refinement for desired results.

Will Snippet Vault make my blog run slower or introduce security vulnerabilities?

Snippet Vault was written by a professional developer using proper WordPress escapes and hooks. The code has been optimized. Still, you should test the in your enviornment for performance and security concerns..
