SnapPress Connect

Description

SnapPress Connect is the official companion plugin for SnapPress — the iOS app that lets you bulk upload photos from your iPhone directly to WordPress. This plugin generates a secure QR code so you can pair your WordPress site with the SnapPress app in seconds, no typing required.

Perfect for bloggers, photographers, and content creators who take photos on their iPhone and publish to WordPress.

Free to start. SnapPress launched its 2.0 update with a freemium model — try it free (10 uploads/month), then upgrade to a monthly subscription or one-time lifetime purchase whenever you need unlimited uploads, multi-site support, or video uploads. See pricing

Why SnapPress?

  • Bulk upload — Send 10, 50, or 100+ photos in a single tap (vs. one-by-one via the WP admin)
  • Automatic HEIC JPEG conversion — iPhone’s HEIC format is converted on-device so WordPress accepts them instantly. Learn more about HEIC compatibility
  • Metadata preserved — EXIF (date, GPS, camera) is kept intact
  • Share & Action Extensions — Upload straight from Photos, Safari, or any app via the iOS share sheet
  • Multi-site support (Pro) — Manage multiple WordPress sites from one app
  • Video upload (Pro) — Push videos to your Media Library with HEVC H.264 auto-conversion
  • 9 languages — English, 日本語, Español, Deutsch, Português, Français, 한국어, Italiano, 繁體中文

Features of this plugin:

  • One-tap setup — Automatically creates a WordPress Application Password and generates a QR code
  • Manual mode — Use an existing Application Password to generate a QR code

FAQ

What is SnapPress?

SnapPress is an iOS app that lets you bulk upload photos from your iPhone directly to the WordPress media library. Instead of uploading photos one at a time via the WP admin, you can send dozens of photos with a single tap. Learn more about SnapPress.

Is SnapPress free?

Yes — the WordPress plugin (SnapPress Connect) is 100% free, and the SnapPress iOS app is also free to start (10 uploads per month, 1 WordPress site, no card required).

For unlimited uploads, the iOS app offers two paid tiers:

  • Standard — $0.99/month or $4.99 lifetime (unlimited uploads to 1 site)
  • Pro — $1.99/month or $9.99 lifetime (multi-site + video uploads)

See full pricing details.

Do I need HTTPS?

Yes. WordPress Application Passwords require HTTPS to be enabled on your site. Most modern hosts provide free SSL via Let’s Encrypt.

Is the QR code safe?

The QR code contains your site URL, username, and an Application Password. It is generated entirely in your browser and is never sent to any external server. Click “Clear” after scanning to remove the code from the screen.

Can I revoke access?

Yes. Go to Users Profile Application Passwords and delete the “SnapPress” entry to revoke access at any time.

Does SnapPress support HEIC photos from iPhone?

Yes. SnapPress automatically converts HEIC (iPhone’s default format) to JPEG before uploading so WordPress accepts them without issues. Read the HEIC compatibility guide.

How many photos can I upload at once?

The Free plan allows 10 uploads per month. Standard and Pro plans have no monthly limit — users regularly upload 50–100 photos in a single batch. Upload speed depends on your WordPress server and internet connection. See the bulk upload guide.

Can I use it without Jetpack?

Yes. SnapPress does not require Jetpack. It uses the standard WordPress REST API with Application Passwords. See the Jetpack-free workflow.

Does it work with Elementor, Divi, or other page builders?

Yes. SnapPress uploads to the standard WordPress media library, so uploaded photos are available in any theme, page builder, or block editor.

Is an Android version available?

An Android version is in development. Follow snappress.app for updates.

What languages are supported?

SnapPress supports 9 languages: English, 日本語 (日本語ブログ), Español (Blog en Español), Deutsch (Blog auf Deutsch), Português (Blog em Português), Français (Blog en Français), 한국어 (한국어 블로그), Italiano (Blog in Italiano), and 繁體中文 (繁體中文部落格).
