Description
Simbe Weather Ticker shows the current weather for the towns you pick, either as a scrolling
ticker or as a table.

Data comes from Open-Meteo, which needs no account or API key. Open-Meteo asks every plugin
and site to credit them, so the ticker and the table link back:

Usage
Shortcodes:
[simbe_weather_ticker]– scrolling ticker with all configured towns[simbe_weather_ticker towns="london,paris"]– only the towns you name[simbe_weather_ticker theme="light" duration="25" condition="yes"]– lighter and faster[simbe_weather_table]– table with all configured towns[simbe_weather_table columns="icon,condition,wind" orderby="temp" order="desc"]– chosen columns, warmest first

Configuration
Go to Settings > Simbe Weather Ticker, search for a town and press Add. Use the arrow buttons
to change the order, Remove to drop a town, or Add town manually to enter coordinates
yourself. Everything else on that screen is a default for the shortcodes and blocks.
The panel at the bottom of the settings screen records recent save attempts, which is
useful if you need to report a problem.

Do I need an API key?

No. Simbe Weather Ticker uses Open-Meteo, which is free and keyless.

Who provides the weather data and can I use it?

Open-Meteo, under the CC BY 4.0 data licence. Their free API is limited to 10,000 calls per
day and to non-commercial sites, so this plugin suits private, non-profit and hobby sites. Read
their Terms of Use at https://open-meteo.com/en/terms and their Privacy Policy at
https://open-meteo.com/en/terms#privacy before you rely on the data. -
Why is the ticker empty?

The ticker needs at least one town. Add towns under Settings > Simbe Weather Ticker.

How often is the weather refreshed?

Forecasts are cached for 30 minutes by default. Use Clear weather cache on the settings
screen to fetch fresh data immediately.
