Shortcode Creator

Description

A new adminstration screen under Appearance allows users to create their own shortcodes to be used on the site. When a [shortcode] is typed into a Post or Page it is replaced with a by-the-user predefined text. This could be useful for phone numbers or similar information that might change over time, so one doesn’t have to edit every old post to update the phone number.

Features

  • Create your own shortcodes – easily change a variable across several Posts and Pages by making sure to use your own custom shortcodes.
  • Simple administration screen. – this plugin only does what it claims to do and nothing more.
  • Clean install and uninstall. – this plugin uses the WordPress-database to store shortcodes but makes sure to clean-up after itself if you ever decide to deactivate and uninstall the plugin.

Installation

  1. Install
  2. Activate
  3. That’s it!
