Description
Most of a shop’s support mail is the same handful of questions: where is my order, can I change the address, can I return this, is this back in stock. Answering one takes a minute of looking the order up and a minute of writing.
Sensbot Email Assistant connects your WooCommerce store to a hosted AI assistant that does both parts. It reads the mail arriving in your support mailbox, finds the order the customer is writing about in the data it synced from your store, and leaves the reply waiting in your Drafts folder. You open it, change what you want, and send it.
Sensbot is used by 100+ stores across Europe.
What it drafts
- Order and delivery questions, from the real order: what was bought, what it cost, what state it is in.
- Returns, warranty and payment questions, from your own published WordPress pages and from anything you add to the knowledge base yourself.
- Product questions, from your catalogue.
How it behaves
- It never sends. Every reply is a draft in your own mailbox until a person sends it.
- It drafts in the language the customer wrote in, not in the store language.
- It learns your writing from the replies you actually send, so drafts read like your shop.
- Every draft passes a validator first. One that claims something the assistant cannot stand behind is withheld and the message is marked as needing a person.
- Every message and every draft can be read back in the Sensbot dashboard at https://platform.sensbot.ai.
What the plugin does on your site
- Creates one read only WooCommerce REST API key, named “Sensbot Email Assistant (read-only)”, so Sensbot can read your catalogue and orders.
- Adds one settings screen under WooCommerce.
That is all. It adds nothing to your storefront, loads no script on your public pages, and writes nothing to your store. The key it creates has read permission only, and disconnecting or deleting the plugin deletes it.
Your mailbox is connected in the Sensbot dashboard, not here. This plugin connects your store. The mailbox is attached afterwards, by signing in to Google or Microsoft or by giving IMAP details, and nothing about your mail passes through your WordPress site.
Account and pricing
Connecting starts a 14 day free trial. No payment card is needed to start it. After the trial, paid plans start at 49 EUR per month; current plans and limits are at https://sensbot.ai/pricing/. If you do not add a payment method, the trial ends, the assistant stops drafting, and nothing is charged.
External services
This plugin requires an account on Sensbot, a hosted service operated by Sensnet d.o.o., Slovenia. The plugin does nothing on its own: all reading of your store, all reading of your mailbox, and all AI processing happen on Sensbot’s servers.
Sensbot platform API, https://platform.sensbot.ai
When your site contacts it: only from the plugin settings screen in wp-admin, and only for an action an administrator took: connecting, disconnecting, opening the Sensbot dashboard, or opening the settings screen itself, which reads back the connection status. There is no background or scheduled call from your site, and nothing at all is contacted when a visitor loads your storefront: this plugin has no front-end code.
What your site sends: on connect, your site URL, your site name, your site language, the plugin version, the email address entered on the connect form, your acceptance of the terms of use and privacy policy, whether the plugin was installed from WordPress.org, and the read only WooCommerce API key and secret the plugin has just created. On the later calls, only your Sensbot store identifier and the secret Sensbot issued at connect.
What Sensbot does with that key: using the key you granted, Sensbot’s servers read from your store over the WooCommerce REST API on a recurring schedule. They read products (/wc/v3/products), product categories (/wc/v3/products/categories), orders (/wc/v3/orders) and the WooCommerce system status (/wc/v3/system_status), plus your site information (/wp-json) and your published pages from the WordPress REST API (/wp/v2/pages). Order records include the buyer’s name, email address, phone number and billing and shipping address. This data is stored on Sensbot’s servers, and it is what lets a draft answer a question about a real order instead of guessing.
Your mailbox, which this plugin does not touch: after connecting the store you attach a mailbox in the Sensbot dashboard, by signing in to Google or Microsoft or by entering IMAP and SMTP details. That connection is between your mail provider and Sensbot: it is not made by this plugin, does not involve your WordPress site, and no mailbox credential is ever stored in WordPress. Once it exists, Sensbot’s servers read the incoming messages in that mailbox and write replies into its Drafts folder. Sensbot does not send mail from your mailbox.
AI processing: the content of a customer’s email, together with the store data used to answer it, is sent onward to Sensbot’s AI model providers to generate the draft.

Deleting the plugin closes the connection on Sensbot’s side and deletes the WooCommerce API key it created. You can also close it at any time with the “Disconnect” button on the plugin settings screen. To have the data already held on Sensbot’s servers deleted, contact Sensbot.

Installation
- Install and activate WooCommerce.
- Install and activate Sensbot Email Assistant for WooCommerce.
- Go to WooCommerce, then Sensbot Email Assistant.
- Check the email address, accept the terms of use and privacy policy, then click “Connect & start free trial”.
- Follow the “Set my password” link on the screen that follows to finish setting up your Sensbot account.
- Sign in to the Sensbot dashboard and connect the mailbox the assistant should work in. Until you do, it has nothing to read and writes no drafts.
The first sync reads your catalogue and orders and can take a few minutes on a large store. The settings screen tells you whether the import finished and whether a mailbox is connected yet.
FAQ
-
Do I need a Sensbot account before I install this?
-
No. Clicking “Connect & start free trial” creates the account and starts a 14 day trial. The email address on the connect form becomes the account email, and the screen that follows gives you a link to set your password.
-
Where do I connect my mailbox?
-
In the Sensbot dashboard at https://platform.sensbot.ai, after connecting the store here. You sign in to Google or to Microsoft, or you enter IMAP and SMTP details. There is no mailbox step in WordPress: a Google or Microsoft sign-in cannot happen inside a plugin settings screen, and a mailbox password has no business being stored in your site’s database.
-
Does it send email on its own?
-
No. It writes a draft into your Drafts folder and stops there. Nothing leaves your mailbox until a person sends it.
-
Does this put a chat widget or anything else on my storefront?
-
No. This plugin has no front-end code, so your visitors see nothing and load nothing extra. A chat assistant on the storefront is a different plugin, Sensbot Chatbot for WooCommerce.
-
Why does an email assistant need my WooCommerce data?
-
Because “where is my order” is the most common support email there is, and it cannot be answered from the text of the email. Sensbot reads your orders, products, categories and published pages so a draft can quote the real order, the real price and your real policy.
-
Does the plugin read my email?
-
No. It only talks to Sensbot, and only when an administrator clicks something on its settings screen. Your mail is read by Sensbot’s servers, through the mailbox connection you make in the dashboard, and never passes through your WordPress site.
-
Do I have to enter a payment card to start?
-
No. If no payment method is added by the end of the trial, drafting stops and nothing is charged.
-
What happens to my store data?
-
Sensbot’s servers read your products, categories, orders and published pages using a read only key, and store them so drafts can be grounded in them. Order data includes buyer names, email addresses, phone numbers and addresses. See “External services” above and https://sensbot.ai/privacy-policy/.
-
What languages does it handle?
-
The draft is written in the language the customer wrote in. Your catalogue and pages can be in one language and a customer can still write in another.
-
How fresh is the store data?
-
The catalogue and orders are read when you connect, then refreshed on a recurring schedule. It is not instant: a change made in WooCommerce can take some time to reach the assistant.
-
Does it work without WooCommerce?
-
No. WooCommerce must be installed and active.
-
What happens if I deactivate the plugin?
-
Nothing is lost. Your account, settings and connection stay as they are, so you can deactivate to test something and activate again without setting anything up a second time. To actually close the connection, use the “Disconnect” button on the settings screen, or delete the plugin.
-
How do I remove everything?
-
Delete the plugin. That closes the connection on Sensbot’s side, deletes the WooCommerce API key the plugin created, and removes every setting it stored.
