Description
Sanestly Staff Order Alerts for WooCommerce helps shop owners send operational order emails to staff, warehouse, or production teams. You can preview rules on a real order, and the activity log never presents wp_mail acceptance as confirmed delivery.
HPOS compatibility is declared after testing both enabled and disabled HPOS modes, including dual write.
Free capabilities:
- Multiple rules: status transition (default Processing), products, categories, shipping class
- Recipients: WordPress users and owner entered external email addresses
- Safe visibility defaults for external addresses and mixed orders
- Preview on an existing order without sending
- Send a clearly marked [TEST] email
- Activity journal with honest statuses
- Queue / cron diagnostics without requiring a specific SMTP plugin
This plugin does not replace WooCommerce customer emails and does not send marketing campaigns.

Installation
- Upload the
sanestly-staff-order-alertsfolder to/wp-content/plugins/. - Activate through the Plugins screen (WooCommerce must be active).
- Configure rules under WooCommerce Staff Alerts (Rules, Wizard, Preview, Activity, Diagnostics).
FAQ

Does “accepted” mean the email arrived?

No. Accepted means WordPress handed the message to the site mail system. Inbox delivery depends on hosting/SMTP.

Will activating scan old orders?

No. Only new status transitions after rules are enabled are processed.

What happens on deactivate or uninstall?

Deactivate keeps rules and activity and cancels this plugin’s Action Scheduler group so queued alerts are not sent while inactive. Uninstall preserves data by default. Enable the “delete data on uninstall” setting only if you want tables and options removed.

Free vs Pro

This Free plugin covers rules, preview, activity, and diagnostics for operational staff alerts. Pro (separate product, later) may add advanced routing; it will not replace Free and will depend on Free’s public API.
