Description
Let your happiest customers do the talking. ReviewPine shows your Google reviews on your website in a design that fits your brand, so visitors see what real customers say before they buy, book or get in touch.
What you get
- A layout for every spot: slider, two-way slider, grid, list, sidebar, badge and floating badge. Every badge opens all your reviews in a popup.
- Your look: choose colours, font, card style and which reviews to show, with a live preview.
- Always up to date: new Google reviews appear on your site automatically. Nothing to copy or paste again.
- Floating badge on every page: show your Google rating in a corner of every page with one click, no shortcode needed.
- Review us on Google button: invite happy customers to leave a review.
- Fast pages: reviews load only when a visitor scrolls near them, and the plugin adds nothing to pages without a widget.
- Privacy friendly: the widget sets no cookies, uses no browser storage and does no tracking, so it adds nothing to your cookie banner.
- Mobile friendly and accessible: layouts adapt to any screen and work with a keyboard and screen readers.
- Works with your setup: the block editor, page builders, widget areas and caching plugins.
How it works
- Create a free ReviewPine account, add your business and pick a widget design.
- In WordPress, open ReviewPine and click Connect ReviewPine.
- Click Copy shortcode on a widget and paste it into any page, post or widget area.
Design changes you make later on ReviewPine show on your site by themselves.
Good to know
- A ReviewPine account is needed. ReviewPine is an online service by Ainygo Technologies that fetches your business’s public Google reviews (see External services below). Creating an account is free and starts with a free trial.
- Safe by design. Connecting gives this site read-only access to your widget list (names and shortcodes). It can’t change anything in your ReviewPine account, and you can disconnect at any time.
- Free plan. After the free trial, one widget can stay live for free with your 10 newest 4★ and 5★ reviews. Free widgets show a small “Free widget by ReviewPine” link above the reviews. Paid plans remove the link and show all your reviews.
External services
This plugin relies on ReviewPine, an external service provided by Ainygo Technologies (https://reviewpine.com). ReviewPine fetches a business’s public Google reviews and displays them in a widget. The plugin needs it to list your widgets in wp-admin and to show the widgets on your pages. You need a ReviewPine account, and nothing is sent to ReviewPine until you click Connect.
The plugin uses two ReviewPine addresses:
1. ReviewPine app: https://app.reviewpine.com (wp-admin only)
- When you click Connect, your browser opens https://app.reviewpine.com/connect/wordpress, where you sign in and approve the connection. Sent: your site’s address, the address of the plugin’s admin page and a one-time security value.
- Right after you approve, WordPress sends https://app.reviewpine.com/api/wp/v1/token the one-time code, a verification value and your site’s address, and receives a read-only connection token plus your ReviewPine account name and a masked email address.
- When the plugin page is opened (at most once every 12 hours) or you click Refresh list, WordPress requests https://app.reviewpine.com/api/wp/v1/widgets. Sent: the connection token and your site’s address. Received: your widget names, business names, layouts and statuses.
- When you click Disconnect or delete the plugin, WordPress sends the connection token to https://app.reviewpine.com/api/wp/v1/disconnect so ReviewPine deletes the connection.
2. ReviewPine widget: https://cdn.reviewpine.com (public pages and the preview)
- On pages that contain the
[reviewpine]shortcode, each visitor’s browser loads the widget script https://cdn.reviewpine.com/widget.v1.js and then the widget’s reviews (https://cdn.reviewpine.com/w/WIDGET-ID.json) when the visitor scrolls near the widget. If you choose Show on every page for a floating badge, every page of your site loads the same script and that widget’s reviews after the page has loaded. Like any file request, this involves the visitor’s IP address and browser details. The widget sets no cookies, uses no browser storage and sends no tracking or analytics data. Reviewer profile pictures and the Google logo shown in the widget are loaded from Google’s servers. - When you click Preview on the plugin page in wp-admin, your browser loads the same widget script and reviews from https://cdn.reviewpine.com to show the widget.

FAQ
-
Do I need a ReviewPine account?
-
Yes. Creating one is free and starts with a full free trial. Click Create free account on the plugin page.
-
Where do I design my widget?
-
On ReviewPine. Click Create or edit widgets on the plugin page: ReviewPine opens in a new tab, and when you come back, Refresh widget list loads your new widgets. Design changes appear on your site automatically.
-
I made a new widget but don’t see it
-
Click Refresh list on the plugin page.
-
What happens if I disconnect?
-
Every ReviewPine widget stops showing on this site: all their shortcodes show nothing, and a floating badge set for every page is hidden. If your site uses a caching plugin we can’t clear automatically, clear its cache once so visitors see the change. Nothing is deleted. Connect again and they show again. If the connection is removed from your ReviewPine account instead (Your account Connected sites), widgets already on your pages keep showing until you remove their shortcodes.
-
Does the plugin add links or credits to my website?
-
The plugin’s own code adds no links or credits. It adds only an empty container and the ReviewPine widget script where you place the shortcode. The widget itself is produced by the ReviewPine service: it shows your reviews with the required Google attribution, and widgets on ReviewPine’s Free plan also show a small “Free widget by ReviewPine” link. Paid plans remove that link. Nothing is added to pages without the shortcode, unless you choose Show on every page for a floating badge.
-
How do I show a floating badge on every page?
-
Choose the Floating badge layout for a widget on ReviewPine, click Refresh list on the plugin page, then Turn on next to Show on every page on that widget. Click Turn off to remove it. You can also paste its shortcode on chosen pages only.
-
What does Preview do?
-
It shows your widget in a popup exactly as visitors see it. The preview runs in a sandboxed frame that loads only the ReviewPine widget script and your reviews from cdn.reviewpine.com. It is isolated from wp-admin, so it cannot read or change anything in your dashboard, and nothing loads until you click Preview.
-
Does it work with caching and optimisation plugins?
-
Yes. Pages with the shortcode can be fully cached: the reviews are not stored in the page but loaded by the visitor’s browser, so cached pages still show your latest reviews and you never need to clear the cache when reviews change. The widget script carries the standard opt-out markers for Cloudflare Rocket Loader, LiteSpeed Cache and WP Rocket, so those tools leave it as it is. If another optimisation plugin combines or delays external scripts and the reviews don’t appear, exclude
widget.v1.jsin its settings. -
Do I need to mention it in my privacy policy?
-
The plugin suggests text for your privacy policy under Settings Privacy Policy Guide, explaining what visitors’ browsers load from ReviewPine and Google. The widget sets no cookies, so it adds nothing to your cookie banner.
