Reftrack plugin allows admin of the site to create unique referral links which can be used to track visits that came from this link to the website.

There is full table with logs of all visits so you can keep track how many visits came from particular referral link

  1. Upload plugin folder (unzipped) to the “/wp-content/plugins/” directory OR complete zip package in Plugins > Add New > Upload menu in admin of wordpress
  2. Activate the plugin through the “Plugins” menu in WordPress.

As said with other comments, other solutions that I searched are too complex. This is quick and easy. Since it's opensource, I guess I'll help to add a little feature such as visit counts later. Great job! (still working great after 4 years)

I was searching for referral solutions but I was somehow disappointed because either the solutions were quite expensive or cheap enough but then you have to use the templates with the word "signup" and that's exactly the word I *don't* want to use.. This extremely simple solution is great. Within 5 seconds you can create a referral link by creating a username and a tracking code. Of course it would be great to have some features but however, this solution is free and works. This solution is perfect for me because I prefer to hand over the referral link personally, and to selected users only.. @Developer: should you wish some feedback, some feature requests, just tell me.. 🙂 Cheers, Gabor
