Quick Edit Page Popup Menu

Description

This plugin does 2 related things that improve the experience using WordPress as a CMS:

  1. Moves the Pages menu above Posts.

  2. Adds a hierarchical popup menu of pages that you can use to jump right into that particular page.

This makes it much quicker when you’re jumping between static pages.

We reorder items with JavaScript (so it shouldn’t break anything else, but you may notice a little jump after the page loads). The popup menu is created with PHP.This plugin does 2 related things that improve the experience using WordPress as a CMS:

Works well, though custom sort order would be nice

I was looking for a replacement for the List All Pages plugin that I've used for years. I found this one, and really like it. I wish I could specify the sort order of the pages in the popup, though. It sorts them based on the order field in the edit or quick edit screen, so if you don't change the number in that field the number defaults to 0, which means the popup will display pages in the order created. Not necessarily so intuitive. I tend to change the number in the order field so that they display logically for me in the Pages section, so no worries. But this might be confusing to others.

A great plugin, but...

This is a great plugin, however how are the pages arranged? It's not latest, not alphabetical, seems to be a completely random order which makes it very difficult to find the page you want if you have many.
