This plugin hasn’t been tested with the latest 3 major releases of WordPress. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.



Quickly publish multiple restaurant menus, choose layouts, import / export menu items.


  • Manage menus. Unlimited number of menus can be created and published as regular pages or via shortcodes. Each menu can have different layout.
  • Manage menu items and include them in your menu. Each item can have different layout when shown in menu and when shown individually on a page.
  • Shortcodes let you publish individual menu items everywhere.
  • Unlimited number of menu layouts and menu item layouts give you full flexibility how your menus will look.
  • Several predefined layouts are available with the plugin installation so you can start right away.
  • Quickly import / export menus from / to a CSV file.


  1. Unzip the contents and upload the entire purplesalad directory to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
  3. Go to “PurpleSalad” in your menu and manage the plugin

Getting Started

  1. Go to PurpleSalad link in your admin menu to manage your menus and menu items
  2. Publish one of more menus as post or page, or in the sidebar using the shortcodes.
  3. Tweak the default layouts or create your own to achieve the design you want.

  • Manage menu item layout. You can work in Visual mode or Text (HTML) mode

  • The Settings page lets you specify currency, decimals display, and define your own URL slugs for menus and menu items.
