Description
PPCmate Conversion Tracking connects your WordPress site to your PPCmate advertiser account, so your PPCmate reports show which campaigns and placements bring sales and leads.
Setup takes about two minutes and needs no code. You click Connect with PPCmate, approve the connection in PPCmate, and you are done. You do not need to change your ad links.
What gets counted
- WooCommerce orders. A paid order (status processing or completed) counts as a sale. The value is the order total without tax and shipping. You can switch to the full order total in the settings.
- Full refunds. A fully refunded order is removed from your reports again. Partial refunds do not change your reports.
- Form leads. A submitted form from Contact Form 7, WPForms, Gravity Forms or Elementor Pro counts as a lead.
- No doubles. Each order is counted once, even if your site reports it twice.
How it works
- Works with the classic checkout and the Checkout block, and with High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS).
- Works without WooCommerce too. Then it counts form leads only.
- Sending happens in the background (Action Scheduler, or WP-Cron when WooCommerce is not installed), so your checkout never waits for PPCmate. Failed sends are retried.
- The small front-end script is bundled inside the plugin. Nothing is loaded from other servers.
- A Health box shows the last event sent and the retry queue, and has a Send test conversion button.
Privacy
- Nothing is sent to PPCmate until an administrator connects the site.
- No customer name, email, address, phone number or IP address is sent.
- The plugin respects visitor consent through the WP Consent API (Complianz, CookieYes, Cookiebot and others). Without a consent plugin the default is “Never track before consent”.
You need a PPCmate advertiser account to use this plugin. See the External services section below for exactly what is sent and when.
External services
This plugin connects your site to PPCmate (https://ppcmate.com), an online advertising platform. The connection is needed to match your sales and leads to the PPCmate ads that produced them, and to show them in your PPCmate reports. Nothing is sent to PPCmate until an administrator connects the site on the plugin’s settings page. After you disconnect, nothing is sent any more.
The plugin talks to three PPCmate addresses.
x.ppcmate.com (PPCmate advertiser app)
- What and when: when an administrator clicks Connect with PPCmate, the administrator’s browser is sent to x.ppcmate.com to approve the connection. The link contains your site address (home URL), the address of the plugin’s settings page to return to, and a random one-time security value.
api.ppcmate.com (PPCmate API)
- When the administrator approves the connection: the one-time connect code and your site address (home URL) are sent once, and a site id and secret are received. If you paste a site key instead, one signed check request is sent.
- When a WooCommerce order is paid, when an order is fully refunded, when a supported form is submitted, or when you click Send test conversion: one event is sent. It contains an event id, the type (order, refund or lead), a reference (the WooCommerce order ID, or the form plugin name, form id and entry id), the PPCmate click reference (
pr_…) if the visitor came from a PPCmate ad, the order value and currency (orders and refunds only), and the time. Every request also carries your site id, a timestamp and a signature. Paid orders are sent whether or not they came from an ad; orders without a PPCmate ad click are not counted. - When the administrator clicks Disconnect: one disconnect request is sent.
- No customer name, email, address, phone number or IP address is put in any request.
adx.ppcmate.com (PPCmate ad exchange)
- What and when: only when a visitor lands on your site from an ad (the page address contains a click id in
ppc_click, or inpm_clidorclickidwhenppc_clickis missing) and consent allows it, the visitor’s browser sends that click id to adx.ppcmate.com and receives a short click reference (pr_…) back. The click reference is stored in the first-party cookieppc_reffor 90 days. The raw click id is never stored. A click id that is not from PPCmate (for example aclickidadded by another ad network) is sent once, gets no reference back, and nothing is stored. As with any web request, adx.ppcmate.com sees the visitor’s IP address and browser details. - Visitors who arrive without one of these click id parameters in the page address cause no request at all.

FAQ
-
Is it free?
-
Yes. The plugin is free and has no paid version. You need a PPCmate advertiser account to connect it.
-
What data is sent to PPCmate?
-
For each paid order: the order ID, the amount, the currency, the time and a short click reference if the visitor came from a PPCmate ad. For each form lead: the form plugin name, the form id and the entry id, with the click reference. Names, emails, addresses, phone numbers and IP addresses are never sent. The full list is in the External services section.
-
Yes, if your cookie banner supports the WP Consent API, as Complianz and CookieYes do. The plugin then waits for “marketing” consent before it saves the click reference. Without a cookie banner, choose under Privacy whether to always track or never track before consent. The default is never.
-
Does it work without WooCommerce?
-
Yes. WooCommerce is optional. Without it the plugin counts form leads from Contact Form 7, WPForms, Gravity Forms and Elementor Pro.
-
What happens when I refund an order?
-
A full refund removes the sale from your PPCmate reports. A partial refund changes nothing.
-
How do I disconnect?
-
Click Disconnect on the plugin’s settings page, or turn the site off on the WordPress tile in PPCmate. The site secret and any waiting events are deleted and nothing more is sent. Past conversions stay in your reports. Deleting the plugin also removes its settings and its queue table.
-
Where do I see my sales?
-
In your PPCmate reports, under the campaign and the placement that brought the click. An order with no PPCmate ad click behind it is not counted.
-
Does it slow down my checkout?
-
No. The checkout only saves a short note on the order. Sending happens in the background.
