This plugin acts as a secure client for the FreePDFWorld SaaS API (https://api.freepdfworld.org).
All document conversions and intensive processing are handled remotely on our secure enterprise servers (fpw-gateway). In order to use this plugin, you will need a FreePDFWorld account and enter your API Key in the plugin settings panel.
- Free & Premium Plans: Free accounts include generous monthly quotas for small sites and blogs.
- Privacy & Security: Uploaded documents are processed in ephemeral memory and automatically purged after conversion.

- Navigate to PDFWorld Tools in your WordPress admin menu.
- Enter your FreePDFWorld API Key (obtainable from https://freepdfworld.org).
- Add the Gutenberg blocks or shortcodes to any page, post, or widget area.

Does this plugin require an API Key?

Yes. Document conversion (especially complex Word, Excel, and PPT rendering) is a resource-intensive process. All heavy computation is processed on our secure cloud servers, requiring an API key to authenticate and prevent abuse.

Does the plugin lock features if I reach my quota?

No. The plugin itself remains fully functional and unlocked at all times. If you exceed your quota, the API gracefully informs the user that the monthly limit has been reached until the next cycle or upgrade.

Are my visitors’ files secure?

Yes. All communication with our servers is encrypted over HTTPS (TLS 1.3). Files sent for conversion are held in temporary storage only long enough to perform the operation and are deleted automatically.
