How does a “Page Builder” work?

Normally, you would edit the contents of your webpage using the backend editor. With Page Builder Sandwich, you can now visit your webpage and edit it in the front-end. Not only that, now you’ll be able to design your pages better with the elements and templates we provide.

Can I use other plugins with Page Builder Sandwich?

Yes you can! Shortcodes and Widgets from your active plugins should show up inside Page Builder Sandwich automatically. Drag them into your page to use them, if the shortcode is already in our system, then you’ll also be presented with a list of the options you can use with your shortcode.

Will the theme I’m using work with Page Builder Sandwich?

Yes it should! Page Builder Sandwich only deals with the content of your page, so the other areas like your header, footer and sidebars will remain as is. Go ahead and try it out in your site first.

Do I need to know how to code to use Page Builder Sandwich?

Nope! Page Builder Sandwich is designed to be as friendly as possible. You don’t need any programming skills to design beautiful pages.

I’m using Visual Composer, can I also use this?

If you’re currently using another page builder like Visual Composer, Elementor or Beaver Builder, then you can still give Page Builder Sandwich a spin. The pages you’ve already designed using other page builders would still work fine as usual. Just don’t edit a page using multiple page builders at the same time.

Will this slow down my site?

Definitely not! Speed is important to us, so we only load what’s necessary. Your website visitors won’t feel any slowdowns. What’s more is that you can readily use caching plugins or CDNs without issues.

Reviews

Literally changed my (WordPress) life

I’m a code-it-from scratch dev. I hate page builders: bloated, unfriendly UI, very obtuse. As a more complexity-oriented raw-coder, I really had trouble breaking down complex page editing tasks into something that my clients could both understand and easily use–lots of custom fields, blocks, and the like.

PBS was a huge add to my dev toolkit, and I was delighted how quickly and easily my clients picked it up. They felt empowered, which was awesome, to make simple changes to the website and found it super easy.

PBS is pretty flexible, too, so I found I could easily bake-in some great custom code that made the complexity-oriented part of me feel awesome too.

Basically, everyone feels awesome now. And that’s pretty cool. Thanks, Gambit!

Really excellent!

Firstly, I’m a developer. I can build anything and everything I’ve been asked to build so far (so good). However, some things fall under the “why re-invent the wheel” theory, and page builders and front-end editors, which I was quite sceptical of before this, falls under the “can’t be bothered to build myself” as they can be quite complex things to get right. Instead I decided to check a bunch of them out, both from a client perspective, but also as I have a couple of blogs where I want to “just blog” and add content (as opposed to tweak and develop, which I easily fall in to otherwise). So I encountered PBS in my testing.

PageBuilderSandwich has made me really impressed with how natural it feels to edit in the front-end. Place your cursor: type. That’s it! The “no pop-ups” benefit of the PBS “marketing speak” became clear when I tested the other builders in parallell: the eternal pop-ups, with lots of options, often got in my way of actually adding content on the screen when I felt inspired to type, and those pop-ups never had the correct styling anyways, so it was still hit-and-miss. Not so with PBS. It “just works”, and in a great way too.

I have always been a bit sceptical about the raving WP plugin reviews too, where someone inevitably claim they will purchase the Pro version of the plugin (and I’m never sure if they are part of the dev team or not), but hey, I shall stop being overly sceptical, as that is exactly what I’ll do with PBS, come salary, so this is one of those reviews where “old me” would be sceptical of. The benefit here for you though is that you can try the free version and it will have cost you nothing. Try it, see for yourself. I bet you’ll love it.

Ease of use, great flexibility and amazing support

The plugin still have some limitations here and there (as you expect with WP) but overall I give it 5 stars for unique ability to design pages in minutes, wide variety of functions and awesome customer support from developers.

Powerful Tool

Simple, powerful page building tool. It is easy for users without developer skills to use. Plus it keeps getting better with each new version.
