Token usage

Each WordPress image (attachment) uses one token from your opti.ninja account. That token covers all selected image size variants and any additional output formats generated for that image.

External services

This plugin communicates with the opti.ninja API at https://opti.ninja/api/v1 and the public API at https://opti.ninja/api/public.

Depending on how you use the plugin, the following data may be sent:

• Image optimization (POST /optimize-sync) — image file data is sent for image compression and optional format conversion. Images are processed on opti.ninja servers and are not stored permanently.
• Account connection (POST /connections/login, POST /connections/api-key, DELETE /connections/) — your opti.ninja credentials or API key, plus basic site metadata such as site name, site URL, WordPress version, and plugin version.
• Quota information (GET /jobs/quota) — retrieves token balance, quota information, and subscription details.
• Token packages (GET /token-packages) — retrieves available token packages for purchase suggestions inside the plugin.

Backup folder

When backups are enabled, original image files are moved to:

wp-content/uploads/Opti.ninja Backups/

The original uploads folder structure is preserved before optimized files replace the originals.
