This plugin hasn’t been tested with the latest 3 major releases of WordPress. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.

For when you might want to make notes on a post, page or product in WordPress admin, this plug-in simply allows that.
If you also want to have the notes to be displayed on the front-end, a little PHP will do the trick.

This will show the notes for the page/post/product you are currently viewing:

if (post_custom('notely')) {
    echo get_post_meta($post->ID, 'notely', true);
  } else {
    echo "No notes here.";

Deactivate the plugin, delete if desired. Deactivating does not delete existing notes from the database, so if you reactivate the plug-in later all your notes will be restored.

Notely at WordPress

Install, activate, done.

Notely is perfect!

Notely does one thing and does it well. Lets you add notes in a page’s editor. Displays those notes on the “pages” page too, so its easy to keep track of things. I’d give it 6 stars if I could edit notes in quick edit!

Works flawlessly. It’s always refreshing when just need a simple function and you find it, install it and it does what it says it will with zero issues.
