Description
NexaBoard adds a discussion forum and community area to WordPress. It includes forum organization, topics and replies, member profiles, moderation tools, read tracking, follows, bookmarks, attachments and configurable forum pages.
The core plugin does not require paid code or a license to use its included features. Optional extensions can be installed separately as normal WordPress plugins.

Shortcodes
[nexaboard_forum]— displays the forum interface.[nexaboard_profile]— displays the member profile interface.
Template overrides
Do not edit template files inside the plugin if you want your changes to survive plugin updates.
Copy a template from:
/wp-content/plugins/nexaboard-discussion-forum-community/templates/
to the corresponding path in your theme or child theme:
/wp-content/themes/your-theme/nexaboard/
Example:

becomes:

The default read/unread forum icons are stored in:

Privacy and security
NexaBoard validates state-changing browser requests with WordPress nonces and applies capability/authorization checks where an action is restricted. User-supplied values are validated or sanitized before use. Email-verification links use expiring, one-time verification tokens rather than logged-in WordPress nonces.
Site administrators remain responsible for configuring WordPress user access, backups, email delivery and server upload limits appropriately for their site.
Extensions
Optional NexaBoard extensions are installed as separate WordPress plugins. NexaBoard core does not write extension PHP code into its own plugin directory and does not require a paid license to use the features included in core.

Installation
- Upload the plugin ZIP from Plugins > Add New Plugin > Upload Plugin, or install it from the WordPress.org directory when available.
- Activate NexaBoard.
- Open NexaBoard > Forums to create the forum structure.
- Open NexaBoard > Settings to review the pages used by the forum and member profile shortcodes.
- Add the NexaBoard forum/profile shortcodes to pages if you prefer to create those pages manually.

Can I customize the forum templates?

Yes. Copy the template you want to change into the matching
nexaboard/path in your theme or child theme as described above. -
Does NexaBoard support moderators?

Yes. Administrators can assign global or forum-specific moderator permissions from the NexaBoard admin area.

Can I import an existing forum?

NexaBoard includes import tools for bbPress, BuddyPress Forum and wpForo Forum. Back up the database before importing content.

Are optional extensions required?

No. The features included in NexaBoard core work without installing paid extensions or entering a license key.
