Nephilainc Companion provides a content manager for the Nephilainc WordPress theme. It separates editable website content from the theme’s visual presentation, templates, and animations.
The plugin lets site administrators manage the following homepage content:
- Hero brand word and one message for each brand letter
- Animated logo letter position
- Expertise / services cards
- Selected Work / project cards, links, and image URLs
- Process steps and descriptions
- Transformation comparisons
- Testimonials, client information, and media URLs
- Call-to-action text, buttons, and contact links
- Header and footer contact information
Theme compatibility
This plugin is designed specifically for the Nephilainc theme. The Nephilainc theme is needed to display the plugin-managed homepage sections. Installing the plugin with another theme will not change that theme’s appearance or output.
When Nephilainc is not active, the plugin shows an informational notice and a settings page explaining how to activate the theme. Existing saved content is retained. The content editor is available at Nephilainc > Content Manager when the theme is active. Sample content from the theme appears in the editor until overridden by saved settings.
The Nephilainc theme can run independently without this plugin, using its own presentation and fallback content. This plugin is optional for the theme, but the Nephilainc theme is needed for this plugin’s front-end features.
Data and privacy
All content settings are stored in the site’s WordPress options table. No third-party API, account, external service, tracking, or remote connection is required. Image and video URLs entered by the administrator are used by the theme when displaying content; the administrator is responsible for any externally hosted media they choose.
Deactivating or removing the plugin does not automatically delete its saved content, to avoid accidental data loss.

Installation
- Install and activate the Nephilainc theme if you want to display the managed homepage sections.
- Install this plugin via Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, or from the WordPress Plugin Directory once published.
- Activate Nephilainc Companion.
- With Nephilainc active, go to Nephilainc > Content Manager in the WordPress admin.
- Edit content and select Save Website Content.
- Visit the site’s front page to review the changes.
If another theme is active, open Settings > Nephilainc Companion for the theme compatibility notice.

Does the plugin work with other WordPress themes?

The plugin can be activated with another theme without causing a fatal error, but its front-end content display is designed for Nephilainc only.

Is this plugin required to use Nephilainc?

No. Nephilainc can be used without this plugin. The plugin adds editing controls for its specialized homepage sections.

What happens to my content if I switch themes?

Saved plugin settings remain in the WordPress database. They can be used again if Nephilainc is reactivated.

How do I choose which logo letter animates?

Under Brand & Hero, enter a letter position starting from 1. For example, 1 animates the first letter, and 2 animates the second. The number is limited to the length of the brand word.

Does this plugin automatically install the theme?

No. Themes are installed and activated separately by a site administrator.
